4 with broken ringlands never picked up and was barely a mark on the bore at all with broken bits still wedged in their original position.

Other one with broken ringland was also the one with melted crown and the piece of ringland had melted away aswell as bent top ring etc and only picked up 4 or 5 thou.

1-5 had same compression and number 6 was a bit lower. 6 always had black spark plugs while others were clean.

After every 5000km it was off the dipstick. Topped it up for 90000 til I got around to rebuilding it.

I was only expecting 1 damaged piston but only 1 had survived.

im not sure exactly how to check if my timing is out, i have the equipment to check it though. and if its out i dont know how to fix it, i dont even know what its supposed to be set at exactly

i took my car to the tuners recently to have the timing checked as it was retarded by 4 degrees.

Anyway, they adjusted it while the car was idling n didnt do the lock mode tds thing- tho they got the signal of coil No.1 (and of course a warm motor...)

also we were checking that the ecu was running 15btdc as we adjusted it.

worked fine. back at 15 btdc :)

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
