IT will be fun when its done but the problem is in WA no one believes in customer service or getting a job done in a timely fashion..

unfortunately no it wont be ready for race wars to much work on at the moment but funnily enough i will have all of April to get it finished so im a month to late. Shame would have been some good competition, i wanted to see if i could max the new speedo i got for it.

The head work is care of Godzilla motorsports cnc programits not cheap but its a dam sight bettter and cheaper then some hand porting jobs!

I have all my parts pretty much now so i just have to wait to get some time off work to put it all together!

stay tuned though its gonna be wild!

No real update yet it's at the shop still it's almost finished! Ended up changing fuel system to run e85. See how this flex fuel thing goes!

Didn't realise how big the r type hks intercooler was till it was fitted, not a lot of clearance there!

I'll get some more pictures up shortly!

Yeh funny you should say that I had hoped to get it to racewars last year.. And here we are.

Well you will laugh at the gearbox selection.. I'm going to run the standard one at the moment. Can't make my mind up yet I was convinced a ppg rebuild would be the go but I decided if it was going to be dog box it has to be sequential but I would I was loosing sight of what the car is actually going to be used for! And that is to drive it to work everyday and the odd track day..

Simon is pushing 700whp through a standard box, however look at how he races and treats the box very gentle on the shifts and very smooth but still pretty quick shift.

he just hoards stock 32 R boxes at home.

i am chasing similar power and have opted for a 34 Getrag in my 32, slightly stronger, similar to yourself i want to keep it semi streetable so i didnt want a dog box.

Forget about a dog box for daily driving. Sequential would be a waste unless it was strictly a weekend + track car only. For 5-600rwhp the OS Giken kit or a helical PPG would be a better option. Although, the standard boxes can cop a fair amount of power.

Yeh I thought I would wait and see how long it lasts and exactly what breaks. I had thought the best option would be an os set with the billet plate and agy synchros so I'm trying to get onto the synchros at the moment and then build up the parts list from there. I've got a spare one anyways so there won't be much down time anyhow.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
