Lol at RBR putting the woman up to collect the trophy. So much uncomfortable.

"She takes care of the boys"

I am not touching that one.

well they did tell Perez to toughen up...

McLaren don't tell their drivers to bend over - they let them race. And good on 'em!

Mercedes are suffering the same fate as the last couple of years. A strong start to the season then quickly fade away because they have NFI how to make the rear tyres last. The first few tracks must be more 'front tyre limited' which makes Merc look better than they are. If F1 had decent tyres and refuelling, the Merc's could be genuine front runners. They make old-school F1 race car - ones that go fast on low fuel. But they suck at the game of conserving tyres designed to degrade.

RBR seem to love the warmer races that use Mediums and Hards. Malaysia and Bahrain, their pace has been untouchable. They seem to come back to the field in the cooler races that use the Softs and Mediums.

Fastest lap of the race 4.5sec slower than qualifying. Awesome...

I have to say I really like Whitmarsh. I like how he responds directly to questions, how he handles the drivers. I think back to the sphincter of the universe and the example of how to let your drivers race

Perez looks like he had a bit of wind in him, mde for good viewing but he wasn;t showing a lot of race craft considering the pace advantage he had over Button

Lots of good battles and more than anything so glad Romain was in the fight and showed some nice race craft

Both him And Domenicali seem to have a very earnest quality in interviews.

Other team bosses less so.

he simply lacks the aggression and arseholery needed to make super passes.

getting passed twice with less than 90 seconds to go was a super special effort for the ozzie battler

meanwhile, his team mate with ostensibly the same car finishes 17 minutes ahead of second place

Bahrain Grand Prix organisers are considering holding a night race next year.

With the 2014 grand prix marking 10th anniversary of the inaugural Sakhir Formula 1 event, track chiefs are determined to do something to mark the occasion.

Although nothing has been finalised yet, Bahrain Grand Prix chairman Zayed Al Zayani has revealed that several possibilities are being considered - including a night race.

"We are looking at many options. A night race could be one of them, but it is not the only one," Zayani told AUTOSPORT.

"It is our tenth race, and our tenth anniversary, so we want to do something different.

"But different doesn't necessarily mean we will race at night.

"There are pros and cons to doing it, and all options are open."

AUTOSPORT understands that if plans for a night race are given the green light, then the lighting infrastructure will be made permanent so the facility can utilise it all year around.

Bahrain is also pushing for its event to become the first race of 2014 as well, which would fit in well with the desire of teams and tyre supplier Pirelli to hold at least one test in the Middle East before the start of the campaign.

Zayani said that no decision had been made yet about where Bahrain would slot into next year's schedule, but he said the venue was prepared for a test and the opening round if required.

"We are ready," he said. "We have had a first race before, we have had a third race before, and fourth race before.

"But it is premature to say when we will be. We will know probably between July and September or October.

"We would love to have the teams here for testing as well. But at the end of the day, that is a decision for them, not us."

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
