Rb20 With Rb25 Turbo Need Advice Please

Hey guys

My brother is thinking of putting a rb25 turbo into his rb20, after speaking to a very realible source today I'm told it'll bolt up fine just wondering if the oil and water lines match up, and if so does anyone have a rb25 turbo for sale

Perhaps pick a number between 150 and 200?

Seems to be in good nick, bought it as a spare just in case.

Got an RB20 turbo too if your bro just wants a spare so he can Blow his turbo up.

Neo rb25 turbo has a larger exhaust housing. High flow it and bam, over 200 at the rears. But then again I don't know how much power he wants to run lol

But only worth doing if the lines match up?!?!?!, he is aiming for 200ish maybe more but is also doing coilpacks and injectors etc etc might only run 170rwkw but reliable as, also does anyone know if there is much ecu work involved in running an rb25 turbo on an rb20

I believe the same lines can be used, but have to bend them a little to fit.

with a pod and a 3" zorst you get about 10 psi with no boost control mods.

and the computer goes full rich, i dont know how a std turbo feels cos it was on it when i bought it

And ive spent a bit on bits to support it (fuel pump, injectors etc) and yet to get a nistune. they will all go in at the same time when i have everything i need.

But i think its worth it cos ill only need a retune when i get a good turbo.

so.... how many thousands does he want to pour into it?

injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, pod and cold air box, boost control, gauges, better radiator, z32 afm, ecu upgrade and tune.

thats probly minimum to support more boost properly. im doing a major service at the same time so im getting even more bits for the upgrade.

after about 2 years, soon ill get there.. hopefully all done by febuary.

Richard, I've lost count of how many times I've had a look at that engine for sale ? I know I should have kept it, that's why I stare at yours so lovingly every time I see it lol
