I just got mine back... Still haven't used it yet. :P

I've got 15 cylinders to check.

After Friday I'll have a whole month of Freedom to play Broom Brooms. :D

I have borrowed it from a friend but i have used it a few times and its pretty good. Did you need to use one?

I was thinking I might have a check at some stage if it isnt to much trouble?

what have you done to your r31 wagons. Did you fit those extractors? What fuel you use in it; should run 15deg if running 91RON 18deg if running 95 and 20deg if running 98. I had a ka24 tb on mine too and port matched it bolt on and same tps. I have a soft spot for the dirty 30's

Extractors I have not received yet.

Timing still unchecked.

Fuel is 91.

But fuel pump is now R33 GTS-t.

Changes I have made so far...

K&N Pod - Jeremy's old one

Spark plugs - 2nd hand.

Shocks - New

Front springs - 2nd hand

Front Swaybar - 2nd hand

Wheels + Tyres - 2nd hand

Wiper Blades - 2nd hand

Fuel pump - 2nd hand

Budget Beast. :D

My U13 Blueby's were KA24de's hmmmm... More air you reckon? Apparently (from my researchings :P) a certain Falcon TB is commonly used too.

Yeah falcon one used but you need to rewire tps. But thats only an issue if its an issue for you. If you do change be sure to port match tb to upper intake manifold. Revs out cleaner and doesn't choke up top. My old r31..

Really at this stage I just want to make it roadworthy, smooth running, reliable and safe so I can transfer rego into my name.

Extractors are a combo of upgrade and fixing an exhaust leak.

It seems that changing the SkyWagon's Fuel Pump did NOT fix the intermittent starting issues...

When you turn the key the Pump doesn't always Prime. Mostly yes but sometimes no. (old pump/new pump, no difference)

Thinking a relay but research :P tells me there is no fuel pump relay. Fuse is fine but I changed it anyway. Hmmmm...

Also, I just checked the timing, it was already on 200 so I put it back to 150 as it's running on 91.

(there is some evidence of a non standard previous life).

Earthing issue somewhere?

Did a few more things under the bonnet.... Waiting on the final touches and will post pics. Looks SOOO much better,

I pulled my rocker cover breather, and the fun part is i cant push them back in have to wait till i get my adopters.

Bought some -10 adopter and the guy asked me for which engine was it for, Rb25 series 1 or series 2

I didnt knew that the series 2 had a little bit bigger hole 16mm which i found out from him.

I do have a S1 but it has a different rocker cover in it, a polished one and i have no idea if its a S1 or S2 :(

I got it all sorted out.its actually so easy, just did it now. compared it with my old one and also found out that the polished rocker cover is a S2 because the breathers wont fit in my old rocker cover and the old one is loose on the polished one :)

Also did you split the one that was on the oil cap side, if thats the one then i know how it happened, you might have pushed the wrong side in the rocker cover. because that was what i was doing. Both end are different, one side is flat and the other side is not. it has a little bump and that one goes in the rubber hose.

At the same time i learnt something new tonight

yep that's what happened, didn't know it happened until I noticed a tiny bit of oil on my polished cover :(

well today I cleaned the AFM, intercooler pipes, rocker covers, replaced and flushed coolant, then reset the ECU, my car has never started so easy and idled so clean....

mums not home so yet to see how it drives :(

booked the 32 into an exhaust shop to get all the intake/dump/cooler piping fabbed up.

Will be the first time in two years that its rolled out of the garage.

only fluids and tune to go! ^_^

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
