You don't shit where you eat from 5hiv. So is it the AC compessor gone?

haha

Yes the AC compressor is dead. I knew that was the problem could have just cut the belt off and drove around with no AC

Today...

Swapped my Spare ECU into the Wags. (didn't fix the Intermittent Fuel Pump Priming) :(

Replaced a Green Relay in Behind the ECU which apparently pretty much controls everything. (May have fixed the priming issue) :)

Chucked in 2 spare Old Coolant Temp Sensors. (bled the air out)

Cleaned the AFM. (again)

Pulled out and cleaned the O2 sensor.

Tightened a couple of Rocker Cover Screws. (near Exhaust Manifold)

Removed the Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield and found the main Exhaust leak. (Pretty sure there should be bolts in these holes) :/

More jobs for the thread repair guy

Just make a list, get them all fixed at the same time, so its only one callout fee.

Did nothing to mine today.... too hot, later tonight when the little terror is asleep, ill take off the rear bar, tailights, do the last of the vynil stripping and the door rubbers have to be carefully removed.

Then its ready for final clean and de-waxing, especially the edges and where the rubbers were.

The list of sht to do, to prep it for paint is very long. Lets see how far i get before the missus realizes what im doing. :w00t:

Tried to reduce scrubbing.. Tend to get a little bit on crappy roads... :( Moulded the front splash guards with a heat gun. Raised the rear of the car about 5mm.. Was going to wash it but I think its going to rain at some stage over the next 24 hours.. Fingers crossed anyway

Detailing the Swift - Typical bloody thunderstorm then hail ! (x2)

Had GTR up the top with the 34.

Started to rain, then hail. First put a doona over the GTR bonnet then Kicked swift out of garage and moved the GTR just as the 2nd hail storm hit.

Was over quick. Shuffling cars what a pain.

Also had Shawty's magna here trying to fix the rear drivers side window. Wont go up. Had to tape garbo bags over it.

Did this a couple of days ago

plugs 1 through to 6, kind of glad I changed them!

they look a ton worse in person :|

Thanks man,

Today.....

Pumped front and rear guards.

Changed front pads

Raised front suspension up 10mm

Bled brakes

Discovered 265 tyres on 10" rims fit inside pumped front guards

Still have soft brake pedal :(

Time to have fluid changed and pressure bled.

Agree with above. Soarer looks Tough! What are those wheels + sizes etc...?

Today SkyWagStag got her much needed new thermostat and Coolant after a good hose flushin'. :D But now my temp gauge in the cluster doesn't work. :(

Also played more AAC, TPS, Throttle stop adjust games and may have hit the sweetspot. No more chugga lugga when floored from a standing start.

Woot! I tells ya.

While out in the 33 I had some Dude in an Audi SUV thing rip past me in Fury as my relatively cheap old Skyline formed one lane before him. :nyaanyaa: Sucker.

18x10 +22 on the back, same size to go on the front soon, tyres are 265/35

Fronts in that pic are 17x9 +40s

I got overtaken down the near Uriarra by a silver one like 40 mins ago, I was doing about 105kph, Id hate to know how quick he was going.. never saw him come up behind me

and got some photos of the car :)

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
