What about some pics from Niigata, Brian?

...and Andrew surely you must of taken some shots around Chiba???

Streeter? South Osaka?

C'mon guys, we need more localized pics!

I've got plenty, but no webspace to put them up. I could attach them I guess. Tonight I even found mypics of the local magic mushroom/panty vending machine :(

A friend of mine must have come close to losing a finger to the yaks tonight - wish I had a photo of his face at the time! He's borrowing their tattooist - said the wrong thing (he's well known as a social nightmare) at the wrong time when the boss dropped by. Mental note: do not make jokes about the yakuza in their presence :(

Funny ol' place, japan.

These are some pics of my little trip...

Hope to be heading back ASAP.

This just reminded me a bit of Family's from Initial D

Which luckily enough I got to watch at about 2am in my hotel room!

Hello Kitty sub box... I love it

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to ride the bullet train,

I had a nice big smile when the YOU ARE NOW TRAVELLING IN EXCESS OF 300km/h came up on the LCD screen. I lucked into the coolest looking train as well, expensive habit though!

Japan is a pretty amazing place, the slow train to Kochi let me take in some countryside...

river.jpg

The local Up Garage was pretty cool too

Just a cool (not exactly modded to my taste) R34

Anyway... Japan is weird. Can't wait to get back there

...and Andrew surely you must of taken some shots around Chiba???

i havent many photos of around actual chiba but i have a few of nishi funabashi around my apartment building

the first pic is Iidabashi taken from the 10th floor of my school

the others are pictures from outside my place

Nice photos Akeenan... the japanese definitely have the whole track housing thing down pat. :(

The bar photo, I gotta ask... what are japanese women like when they're out on the turps? Are they quiet, or do they carry on like australian women? Do gaijin even stand a chance with them? :D

Heres some different shots I took on Saturday. I only 3x optical zoom on my Canon Ixy 500, but I tried to make good use of it with these "spy" shots...if you can call them that! I didn't go after the big modified cars (Troy can attest to the abundance of modified cars going past my house on Route 2) but I went after every day cars instead, and a suprise car...

3bridge.jpg

Thats the big bridge down by Sushine Wharf where SuperAutobacs is.

3sreetscape.jpg

Just a typical Saturday morning in Settsu Motoyama.

3streetscape2.jpg

Same as above but looking west.

3march.jpg

This is the Bridgestone (pronounced "Bu-ri-ji-stoe-n" in Japanese! There you go!) Gasoline Satnd directly across the road from me. Just shortly after this pic was taken, that dude creaning ;) the windscreen ran out onto the middle of the road, and waited there, holding up traffic long enough for the March to come out and drive off... can you imagine that happening in AU/UK/NZ/US???

3_2cv.jpg

3_2cv2.jpg

If I'm not mistaken.. this is a CITROEN 2CV!!!!! WTF??? ... and you thought Japan was high-tech! Theres that dude again holding up traffic...

3celica.jpg

A Celica and Civic just cruising along... the ZZT231 Celica is pretty popular around were I live, theres no less that 3 mildly modified SS-IIs on my block and adjacent blocks.

3stagea.jpg

Alright! This is more like it... Stagea 2.5 25RS that had a nice burble to the exaust.

3grandis.jpg

Mitsubishi Grandis van, and a DC5 Integra Type R (the good JDM version... not the barebones AU version!)

3civicvan.jpg

At first I thought this was a "Honda Legreat", but now I'm not sure... anybody know what it is? I think the fact that you can get a carbon bonnet and decent kit for it must mean it's at least mildly popular.

3landcruiser.jpg

Toyota Landcruiser 4.7 "Cygnus" (the Lexus version in AU?) with all the fruit. That dude on the little motorbike thingy are a dime a dozen too.

3evo7.jpg

One for Troy... Evo 7 in it's home environment... chugging around at 50km/h stopping every 100m for the traffic lights. Sweet, I love 'em though. Probably the only other car I'd look at other than a Skyline.

3gloria.jpg

What are the chances of seeing a Y33 and Y34 Gloria side by side on the street? They weren't friends either... the Y33 came up real quick the overtake the Y34 on the right side.

    • And I just realised that that advice is slightly nonsensical for a GTR, because you need 2 of them. But it is otherwise true.
    • Having had a reasonable look at the car, I'll be able to remove the (one time) rams and retract the hinge (they are held in the down location by a tiny (m3?) sacrificial screw) which will get it physically back in shape. From there if you remove the rams you need a resistor to turn off the airbag light (as Mark said, there are plug in kits and I might go that way because its reversible). And...per all the threads on here, even if you have the resistors to turn off the airbag light, the bonnet light will stay on as it writes to the airbag computer history - that is either replace the airbag controller, reprogam the EPROM (if I can work out how), or remove the globe from the dash. Having seen how sensitive this system is, if I had my time over I'd pre-emptively remove the rams, even on a road car, because this is all a very unnecessary pain in the arse. Reminds me, time to go and have a look at the Fuga too....
    • Hi, I need same this wing nismo , Does anyone have one for sale?  if any one have can contact me  00966546888343
