Abo Bob
Here are my first dyno sheets. Car is an R34 GTT auto with full exhaust and AVC-R boost controller. What do people think? Is this alright? meggala
looks pretty good to me are you happy with it? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41681-opinions-on-1st-dyno-r34-gtt/#findComment-853795 Share on other sites
B-Man
Adam - that's nice average power. When my R33 was stock I get 145 rwkw with just a zorst & pod. So 162 with auto is pretty good, I'd say. What is the boost set to ? What does the seat of your pants say ?? Can you feel the difference ?? Abo Bob
Meggala,Yeah I am. I can feel that flat spot but I haven't had a chance to drive it properly yet since the AVC-R went in on friday. Makes me wonder about all these guys with 200 and 250 rwkw though. Obviously I know that I have an auto and there are power losses there but that was my choice for comfort in Sh!tney traffic. B-Man
Sorry - I missed the graph against boost. It's running a little rich isn't it ???? Is SAFC or eManage in the next round ??? Abo Bob
B-Man, I can definitely feel the difference in the seat of the pants but I'm still to properly drive it. Boost peaked at .88 bar last night but usually around .84 so far. Perhaps that's a little high... Abo Bob
Suspension next then FMIC then emanage I'm thinking unless the good people of this forum convince me otherwise. marchGTR
Suspension next then FMIC then emanage I'm thinking unless the good people of this forum convince me otherwise. I think with an emanage and front mount you should get close to 200rWKW. I also agree that it is running a bit too rich atm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41681-opinions-on-1st-dyno-r34-gtt/#findComment-853844 Share on other sites
benm
Approx how long did it take to fit/set the AVC-R ? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41681-opinions-on-1st-dyno-r34-gtt/#findComment-853947 Share on other sites
franks
Here are my first dyno sheets. Car is an R34 GTT auto with full exhaust and AVC-R boost controller. What do people think? Is this alright? looks good adam. with the tiptronic gearbox i think you should be reading slightly higher than manuals because of gear ratios. and i also believe auto/tiptronics have a different ecu....but dont quote me on that from memory (i'll have to dig it up) i got 154kw on the same dyno with about the same amount of mods. 1 tip - FMIC. i didnt notice any seat of the pants difference and thus that represented zero bang for dollar!!! for a street car, i think the side mount is perfect for power levels close to 200rwkw. when you do some trackwork or get a bigger turbo then i think this is where a FMIC starts to get important. spend your money on a handling pack from say whiteline. what are you after? track stuff? street? Abo Bob
3rd gear for me and 4th for you is 1:1 but I'm not sure if this takes into account the diff or not. I do like the track which is why I thought about getting the FMIC. I'm also leaning towards whiteline for suspension. I've got to get some decent tyres too. franks
get an oil cooler if you're going track nutz Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41681-opinions-on-1st-dyno-r34-gtt/#findComment-854168 Share on other sites
B-Man
Cheater tyres & suspension will make your biggest gains for trackwork - for sure. that's not to say that you shouldn't look at an oil cooler like Franks says..... Abo Bob
Yeah seriously considering that. After about 15 mins I need a warm down lap. Might get a bigger one for the trannie fluid too. Abo Bob
105-110 I think. It drops very quickly when you slow down. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41681-opinions-on-1st-dyno-r34-gtt/#findComment-854533 Share on other sites
franks
105-110???? nah, i meant on the track not on the way down to wakefield!!! i see 130-140degrees. from my stock er34 gauge that is. ie. 2nd last notch to the top of the gauge... Robo
Is it me or does your car rev really really high??? It look sto me that your car revs to 8000 rpm.. Thought stock ecu limits to 7000 rpm. Abo Bob
Robo: Yeah they certainly seemed to wring it's neck on the dyno didn't they. I went to 7k last night when I miss pressed the button to change into 2nd gear. It didn't seem to hit any rev limiter. Franks: I was going from memory but I think it touched that mark once at Eastern Creek. The rest of the time it stay a little under that even after 15 minutes on the track. It behaves so well. Brakes never fade, never overheats, once got at A/T light to go on but that was at the end of a track session with the last two laps basically being drift laps at Wakefield the other day. Benm: seems it took 5.5 hours I had a proper drive last night and that flat spot is quite annoying but the rest of it... mmmm... power.
