getting ready to start modding my 250GT sedan, not sure what to begin with any ideas?

Feel free to post Mods you've done on your V series Skyline!

Thanks Guys

I thought we started answering that question in your previous thread?

I don't think anyone has modified the DD to a great extent, most guys would have gone for the 3.5 manual as a performance base. Would you like some pics of the swirl valves I believe hinder power production? I could possibly supply you with a modified runner if you wanted to give it a try, but you will need an Emanage Ultimate or similar to realize any gains.

Shame you are so far away, I could help with most of the performance mods required, even the Stagea turbo manifolds could bolt up for high compression e85 turbo fun. ;)

GM = General Motors.

LS - a series of V8 engines produced by GM ranging in capacity from 4.8L to 7.0L

T56 = 6sp manual transmission built by Borg Warner, often used on the above engines.

Anything can be done with enough $$..

Nothing much man EGR valve blocks plenums mods, can be modified but car will not like it. Vq25DD is not a performance engine it is a economy orientated engine with slight but of grunt. There maybe some things they made for the VQ25DD enhine in the stag but not much and good luck. Im doing a engine conversion on my 250GT later this year.

If you want power get a VQ35 f**k the RE4/5 auto box out and replace it with Z33 manual and replace hat gay open diff with the R200 V VLSD from a manual 350Z....then its endless mods man.

Oh btw VM35AU facebook page join it

Still a weak ass engine though.

The VQ30det is good for well over 400kw stock.

I prefer the 4 door personally, not because it looks better, but because it's unassuming. You would never get pulled up in it, unlike the coupe. There are too many down here with blacked out tail lights and bald 20 inch rims. You are ruining it for yourselves.

looks like your trying to mod the wrong engine, as most of the boys above have already said. motor in the bin, 2J in. Has that even been done before?

Been done

Google is your friend.

G35 2jz

Coupes are still very unassuming to the local constabulary compared to your usual suspects like Silvia, evos ect

Personally Don't really care about everyone else not looking to be a traffic light hero and coupe looks a lot less maxima like.

Plus any crazy conversion is retardedly hard to get legal in most states

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
