terry i'm feeling a lot of pent up frustration coming from you....

maybe you and matt should consider going halves in a race car to free yourself of frustration in a safe and legal way. :)

instead of on the street.

I think everybody has a bit of hoon in them ! Some people tend to check first , if there are any possible dangers. children, cars, bikes, then they might do a small skid or wait to its late a night then open the car up making sure know ones around to see or or any possible dangers. I have a mate who is a hoon but he checks first before he does. but some people don't Care they will drive like a idiot with family's in cars next to them. drive past schools smoking them up and p platers are the inexperienced people the r33 gtr are more for the mature drivers car the gtst drivers are the dangerous ones! But mainly u really need to look at the age group because. I believe that's the main thing 17 to 24 !

An Audi driver this morning, bout 25yo, wanted to run against my GTR. Went rocketing pass when he saw my GTR a few cars ahead of him, then slowed down and did it again.

Conditions: Daylight, 10am, 3 lanes, several sets of lights ahead, Saturday morning suburban traffic heading to town centre or the city - mum, dad, kids in vehicles all around.

Pedestrians and push bike riders on the sides. Police around? - NFI.

So yeah. wrong place, wrong time and wrong attitude.

Asses the risks. No brainer !

Yeah we'll that's the thing idiots like him don't look ! If he was to loose traction somehow he coulda killed family's that's the thing it's illegal to be a dickhead on the road but everybody has a little fun now and them. And nobody can bullshit and say they don't. I saw ve v8 highway patrol smash it from the lights couple off weekends ago ! It's ok for them isn't it look at Peter Brock he was a professional and ended up dead mate ! I wrote off a 180sx falling asleep at the wheel cos of prescription drugs and there side effects! Nearly died and I lost a supercharged commo at 120 when I hit a wet patch once looped it and nearly died once that happens u start to slow down 2 times lucky mate 3rd one proberly not so good. it takes years to learn to drive properly I can drive a bit just a bit ill say I know my capabilities and my cars too still doesn't mean I'm invincible cos I'm not but I think everybody does it look around I don't see many imports on there roofs do we ! Think before u harass car enthusiasts

I "hoon" at off the street events.

its safer and cheaper than a ticket.

Do you just well that's good for you !

I like to think so.

and so should others.

its just not worth doing anything on the street anymore.

JUST OUR CLUB runs 3 skids off the streets day(next is june long weekend), and the odd drag and track day.

one of our members has organised a track day himself.

there are a few companies/other clubs that also post in our event section.

plus Wednesday night drags at the creek.

so, there are plenty of events to take stupid behaviour to.

hope everyone joins in.

see you all there.

Why don't they pull over the p platers there the ones speeding most with the eccys pot and the ice out of there brains Pull over 25 to 30 more times there mature and past it !

yes because p platers don't get hassled enough and i've never had a fully licensed driver run into me ever.... no wait thats happened three times second time the guy was eating cereal on the freeway but all

This p plater showing of in front of two 20 yr old moles, nearly wiped Out my gtr coming out McDonald's last week . I think as ya start to get older a bit, you

Realise how invincible we thought we where being there age p platers need to be hassled alot more.

Jason i know what you're saying but we aren't all dickheads.. i know the odds are against us but there are SOME sensible P platers.. i like to think i'm a sensible driver and i am very careful when i do tend to put my foot down. I will never break the speed limit if there's a late model commodore sedan, falcon sedan or even a late model camry..

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
