lucien, that's a damn nice pic :)

I will let you know as soon as I've heard from Japan Parts .. I emailed them about 4 or 5 days ago and no response.  Might have to ask a mate who has rellies in Japan to see if he can sort something out for me :)

Dave's also trying to get a price:

LW.

/me expects an email soonish lol...

i have a Impul unit... its a long cylindrical one like mentioned before... feels pretty good to shift, but its pure metal so it sucks in summer and winter.

It also comes with a gear stick extender... that bends the gearknob towads your leg and keeps the knob on an angle, for a racy feel i guess...

Call me ghey but I really don't dig my nismo carbon finish metal knob.

I've been thinking about a snooker eight ball? What about it?

T.

Your ghey :) The carbon nismo doesn't do it for me, but nor do the space invaders stylee ones. Cmon Tony, come to the dark side of the GT Titanium shifter :)

LW.

sigh, why can't you all just use a stock knob like the rest of us... ok maybe not me (*hides aluminium impul shift knob*) it dosen't make your car go faster :)

And I agree... $215 is stupid amounts of money to spend on a knob that autobarn replicates perfectly lol

usually with my metal nismo one, i find that slipping a sunglasses slip over the top stops it from getting hot during summer :)

I like to use a stubbie cooler (wetsuit material) turned upside down over it, comes in handy when there is an emergency too :)

I have an aluminium one, it cylindrical about 3-4 inchs long and about 1.5inches round. has HKS printed on the side of it. I am talking about my shift knob :)

$215 is wayyy over the top for a mere knob.

Maybe for a "knobbing"...

T.

yeah u are better off spending it on ur own knob lol

I use a VB can cooler to cover my knob in hot weather (doesn't get much use now).

About your HKS knob... does it say "Hello Kiddies, want to Suqq my throbbing knob" when you get excited?

T.

I have just bought the gear knob for the R. its the Nardi Torino black leather one. it was $108 from HJC motorsports in penrith. It was cheaper then the Nismo one that I was gonna get and like this one better.

had a nismo aluminium one before and it is too hard after a while, hurts you hand on long drives. thats me anywayz ;)

A knob is a very important thing

I recall in the drift bible...the jap geek saying...its important you have a good setup.

Good suspension .. ... ... ... and last thing was a good gear KNOB!

But yeah the nismo carbon fibre knob isnt very good ;) waste of money

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
