Tig Welders ?

was looking at buying a tig welder dont want to spend no more then 2k on a unit........sems to be a few kicking around.........what are people using,what brands i should stay clear of etc any feed back be great

I have been using a UniTig 200 ac/dc (chinese unit) for about 5 years now, it does a pretty good job considering you can pick them up for around $1300. Is it for business use or home?

i have heard a few good things about the Rossi welders you can get from a machinery place in sydney, they are under 1k and come with everything you need incl 50amp plasma cutter. im looking at getting one based of the reviews i have read on them.

these 4 machines seem the most bang for buck all are 200-240amp ac/dc welders with decent duty cycle

i've been eying off the rossi brand on ebay, duty cycle seems decent for home use although haven't heard much about them through others

everlast / tokentools are ment to last well for what they are

I have a unitig ac/dc 200amp thats a couple of years old now. Like already said, cant fault it. Welds great and heaps of functions to control everything. My hand piece has a wheel (like a mouse wheel) to control amps too.

Really great welder, so much that im looking at getting a unimig mig welder when the time is right

I used to have a unitig200 as well.. was a great machine but have since moved to a token tools tig with a few more functions and can be had for around the same price.. The difference in weld quality was quite easy to see straight away.. Nothing wrong with the unitig whatsoever but id definitely go the token tools welder as they are pretty much the same price.

Yep spot on, only thing i didnt like about the welder was the torch, make sure you upgrade to the variable amp control torch.. The button on the torch i have sticks down every now and then has made a few f**kups for me haha..

your in the us.........you can get a miller or lincoln ac/dc tig for half the price we can ...........dont think you could use the the tokentool tig too we run 240v
