So it seems the oil pump pressure relief spring may have gone - have erratic pressure at idle and high pressure with revs, oil warning light on while driving. So I have been looking to see what info is here and cant find much - just two different possibilities it getting a new pump - figure if its just the spring, with the amount of work it would just be worth replacing with a new pump.

Questions are

N1 pump vs standard - whats the deal - N1 seems to be half the price but better than standard pump.

Anywhere in Adelaide that knows how to do this job (my mechanic is good but basic and is a little unsure about tackling this job - just a small business and hasnt much space for bigger jobs.

And where can i get my hands on one?

*edit* plus what's this crank collar thing all about??

Cheers

Depends what version engine it has in it. I have two NEO engine's sitting in the workshop that have short nose crank collars.

If you order an oil pump for an RB25DET here in the UK, you get a N1 pump as the part number has been super-seeded.
