At first I was really scared thinking my head gasket was blown, I looked if the muffler had white smoke or liquid coming out of it, as well as a bubbling radiator or even flushing one. the motor and car seems to be fine, not sure if its meant to release this much petrol or gas sorta smell.

its a pretty big cannon and is equipped with piping all the way through.

is the smell normal to be smelling a lot more than usual exhausts? Like when I drive with the windows down I can smell it fairly.

Is it a petrol or gas smell? What conditions make it worse? Is it worse on idle?

Your car could just be running rich. I had a distinct petrol smell in my R32 gtr when it was idling stationary. Had it retuned it it's gone. Was just very rich.

By the use of the word "fregging" and nature of your question, I take it you're still quite young and this is your first turbo car. Welcome! ! You may not have a cat installed.... If everything else appears to be normal this may be your problem.

Sounds like the cat is non existent, I run a cat in mine and it has a more bearable exhaust smell than my V6 Accord which has had the cat bashed out (decided to collapse)
