hahaha yeah, Richard! :P I was thinking something with a little spiel about SAU and the community, and the silly shit we talk about and get up to, then just the URL as you've put on yours and instruction to go there and sign up :D

yes indeed - not for the ACT SAU club as a whole

just a personal example :P

Obvioulsy a card with Skyline on the front (perhaps shadow or non descript, maybe just the hot plates)

ACT SAU

Web address

Carbon fibre pattern on the back with additional details

Something like that anyways

If i was a paid member i would have an opinion and it would be:

Yeah im happy with us being part of NSW, we have the ACT section on the forum to organise our stuff/events.

I cant see the point of having a seperate club, with all the admin etc... theres no difference with NSW doing it, after all the ACT is in NSW.

The flyer or card is a good idea..... the more the merrier.

Should mention the benefits of SAU, like tutorials, traders, events and motorsport etc.

I think that some of the NSW Execs had cards made up... I can check up on this.

I think I too have a SAU ACT sticker from way back somewhere too... Some of them were custom and had people's names incorporated in them as well.

And no stickers doesn't mean they have no idea about the forum, some people either don't like to post (have plenty of friends like that) and others just don't do stickers (you'll never find one on my car!).

Hop to making one then. Or are you going to join the normal clan and be too lazy and just whinge and moan about nothing happening?

whinge

Verb

Complain persistently and in a peevish or irritating way.

Question

Noun

A sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information: "we hope this leaflet has been helpful in answering your questions

Verb

Ask questions of (someone), esp. in an official context: "four men were being questioned about the killings".

I wish to join the active clan where questions are asked when not known ;)

However, I guess to what I was origninally after was a small "Unofficial" part of ACT SAU where we have our own stickers and events (Not paid ones (But not limited to) - something where someone orgnises a cruise here or there with a BBQ attached. None of this CAMs (Not real sure what it is) but not an official group. Maybe a Forum label giving us ACT Member (But attached to the NSW group etc). To put it in more simple terms (If I can attempt it) We're still attached to NSW - payment goes to them, meetings etc. But ACT get their own little sticker with maybe a forum label saying "ACT Member" instead of NSW.

I don't think that made any sense either :(

this sounds good, i remember when i first joined years ago i organized a Sunday cruise and it was heaps of fun. one of the problems we have in the ACT is that's it very boring.. i reckon we should start up what used to happen in the early days of SAU meet up at each others houses, help with each others mod's and work on car's etc

makes sense.

will raise the possibility of this.

might have to get some of the higher moderators in to set it up.

dont know if shell would like the extra work either.

but, cant hurt to ask.

also, you can organise your own cruises, meets, events, what ever.

tbe difference is:

official, club organised, cams authority and liability insurance.

so, if anything happens to any participants, we have cover.

unofficial, anyone organises, no insurance.

if anything happens, liability can fall onto the organiser.

Yeah, more so the unofficial one but with some ACT spin off to it (SAU-ACT local meets (unofficial on paper but orginised bi-monthly) and fourm label ACT Member). Rob did a Easter cruise and just put up some details and anyone was welcome to come (This was done 2 weeks prior to the event), we had a BBQ afterwards and was a great day. More so of these cruises where, if wanted, the person (Rob / co - Shell / GTRKat are not required to orginise this for us) can put up his hand and say "Yeah, I'll try and setup a meet bi-monthly" etc. I would put up my hand but I have very little knowledge of ACT and even the Skyline scene. Nothing official but maybe the SAU Shirts / Stickers will be present.

But thank you for taking it to your meeting and raising the questions for us. Everyone likes to be apart of "their" state when living there. I've lived 3/4 of my life in NSW but since I live in ACT, I consider myself an SAU-ACT member given everything is done locally.

It's really not that difficult.

And it's the start of someone bailing.

All that really needs to be done for events is start a thread and write, where, when, how much. If you need examples, I have a bunch on the R31 Skyline Club in past events >> http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?board=42.25
