does anyone know what size it is, mine need replacing.

is it ok to drive with the sway bar held on by just the front nut on the bracket?

this is a r32 gts. can you also take the sway bracket off without removing the castor rod? i couldnt get the right angles to get to the 14mm nut

No; unbolt at the LCA, to release the tension on the bush, the unbolt the front of the caster rod. You now have access to the nut

Ok, what is the best way to fit the bar unloaded? looks like a prick to do without a drive on hoist

Drive the front wheels up onto some blocks. I used a few layers of pergola sized (sorta 8" x 2" sized stuff) a few feet long. That's enough lift to slide yoruself in and work on the bar.
