Hey all,

Had to get under the car for an oil change, when i saw this!

20130702_122116_zpsd0eeb793.jpg

That's the first pipe coming down from the front end (Sorry I don't know proper terms for all the exhaust pipes). It looks like the pipe is splitting and whatever is inside it, is coming out. Looks like insulation fluff or something?

Anyways, I'm looking at getting a TBE in the not too distant future, but just want to know if this issue will cause power losses, or anything more severe?

Thanks

Is that the factory exhaust? I've never seen an exhaust with insulation like that bore.

So long as you keep an eye on it is should be fine. The only time it will cause a power loss is if the pipe under the insulation splits.

time for aftermarket :)

That's the plan!!

At the moment, I'm pretty sure mine is only a diff back. Tip says "Blitz Nur Spec" and from google searching, it says it's just a diff back. Correct me if i'm wrong lol

take a photo of your whole exhaust system for us, since your car is already on jack stands

Bummer, I'd already parked it back in the garage. I'll get it back up in a few days and hopefully you'll be able to tell me what I have :)

rear muffler + tip. my car came with a nismo rear muffler but everything forward of the diff was factory.

Ahh ok, thanks for the clarification. Can't believe I've never heard that before.
