Modified skyline insurance???

Whats that??? Lol

I saw you at WTAC but by the time i came to say hi you were goooone :(

So a belated HI :action-smiley-069:

Looking for cheap hotels in Mildura and Wagga Wagga now.

I can recommend this joint: http://mildura-deakin-holiday-park.vic.big4.com.au/

I stayed the night on the way back from adelaide to orange, I parked the car+trailer beside the cabin. It's on the main road, secure and there's a bakery next door for morning munchies before going again.

Response from Mawson Lakes Hotel about parking on site is: "We have you booked into a connecting 3 bedroom apartment located 100m from the hotel there is secure parking there and secure parking at the hotel with CCTV footage."

OK, booked accommodation in Mildura for the night of the 20th. 3 bedroom was gone but I have booked a 2 bedroom cabin with bedding for all beds. Cost was $160 for the night. They will leave the key and a map out for us in case we turn up late and also said there wouldn't be an issue with parking.

Also liking the look of The Boulevarde Motel. Delux Twin is $165 and Delux Double is $125 and the hotle features "Off street parking with camera surveillance". http://www.boulevarde.net.au

#@75coupe - Happy to share a twin room?

#@luke gtr - Assume you and Kate would want to book your own room?

In that case, cabin it is!

I've booked the ensuite cabin at the caravn park in Wagga Wagga which comes to $149 for the night. They said there will be parking for all of us and if we turn up late they'll leave a key and a map out for us.

So all accommodation is now booked and I can relax :)

I've paid for the two overnight stops which you guys can fix me up for when we meet up.

Lazy buggers..

Accommodation costs are:

Mildura - $160

Wagga Wagga - $149

Adelaide - $250 per night times 4 nights - $1000

Total of $1309

Which makes it $436 each

I've paid for the nights in Mildura and Wagga Wagga already, we pay on checkout at Mawson Lakes.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
