Yes. You'll need to upgrade the brakes and get a mod plate.

Have a look at what brakes the turbo Calais came out with, if the 31 has the same size or bigger brakes and is lighter and has the same motor you can argue that a brake upgrade is not needed

i am hoping some p-plater will like my s2 silhouette and pay me loads of money so i can buy a sh1tter to allow me more budget for stopping

So if you sell it, does all if the money go towards your budget this giving you more spending cash?

Morning all. Home now. Soooo wrecked. :P

That's just plain evil! I wish I could call 1:20pm morning!

Oh that does sound bad, I had my wisdom teeth out (and had two extra for a total of 6 :0 ) but my surgeon was awesome, i was alright in 4 days, had them out on Monday and played rugby on the Sunday with no issues. I was pretty weird recovering from anesthetic too. I woke up, unplugged my heart monitor and pulled out my iv and took my self for a bit of a walk, I was half way down the hall to the elevators before they worked out where I went!

Yeah it was shitehouse! All four of mine were attached to my jawbone, my jaw was dislocated both times they were taking them out... It's crazy the way some people react to the drugs apparently most girls cry, glad I wasn't one of them although last time I was knocked out I woke up and lost my shit and got agro until I realised where I was haha

technically, yes.

this thing needs some work on the brakes and whilst the engine is fantastic, the purchase price of $1300 doesn't leave me a whole lot to spend on brakes and suspension upgrades. I DO NOT want brake fade at the track. Been there, done that, don't like it.

Didn't sleep till 5am because we were at the wedding. :)

just buy a GTR again Benno

GTR's are the DEVIL!!!!!! glad i owned mine, i ticked a box from my bucket list. I would never own one again. too heavy, too much understeer, too much money. i can go quicker in a crappy old s13 then a gtr with a bucket load spent on it.

I know I know. I will ask you a question when I see next regarding the GTR.

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
