GTR's are the DEVIL!!!!!! glad i owned mine, i ticked a box from my bucket list. I would never own one again. too heavy, too much understeer, too much money. i can go quicker in a crappy old s13 then a gtr with a bucket load spent on it.

I have had exactly the opposite experience, I wont own anything else again, Instantly it was better than any other car I had owned, made every dollar I spent on the others like like a complete waste of time!

and you got the car for the right price too :)

speaking of GTR's. I do have the opportunity to buy a gun metal grey 32 gtr with a 33 gtr engine transplant, nistune, o2 wideband, semis, suspension etc for cheap cheap.

buy, sell for profit

doooo eeeeettttt!!!!

Got another zed last night. Few good bits on it. Got it cheap and plan to make 1 registered zed from 1.8non registered zeds sell the rest over time.

Not sure which bits I'll use from which cars yet. New one has 2871's (mine has 2560's), new one has low comp on at least 1 cyl (mine is good). Dunno if I could handle the lag of the 2871's but would make good power.

New one has a perfect interior with yellow (eeew) sections on the seats, so I'll swap my seats in and keep the rest. New one has a beautifully made custom exhaust system which I will prob use and sell my Trust system.

New one is primed for paint so the body is straight, but my widebody is aaaaaaages away still, so I am considering flares (for the massive rims) and a quick lick of paint until it is serious widebody time.

i look forward to it Anthony. I want to get a bunch of us together for a Philli Cheese Steak and some American beers one evening VERY VERY soon if anyone is keen. At West End.

As in us as in whores?

Have a look at what brakes the turbo Calais came out with, if the 31 has the same size or bigger brakes and is lighter and has the same motor you can argue that a brake upgrade is not needed

I think you'll find they're bigger. 31s are under braked even N/A, you're a d*ckhead if you slap a turbo on and keep the std brakes.

So if you sell it, does all if the money go towards your budget this giving you more spending cash?

technically, yes.

Technically NO.

You can sell bits off the car to get money back into the budget, but if you sell the whole car and start again you'll be starting with a clean slate of $2000.

this thing needs some work on the brakes and whilst the engine is fantastic, the purchase price of $1300 doesn't leave me a whole lot to spend on brakes and suspension upgrades. I DO NOT want brake fade at the track. Been there, done that, don't like it.

Mine cost me $1400 and so far I have sold just over $1000 worth off stuff from it, meaning it's effective cost was only $400 (sans wheels and diff, since I sold those :P). So if you can sell some stuff off yours you'll be laughing.

dont leave the body in primer too long, it absorbs moisture and the pannels underneath can still rust from it.

afternoon all......1 less tooth in the face. perfect timing for dental work

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
