hahaha take a number and get in line, Heaps of people want in on what I do...There is a serious lineup to get into my field.

What IT experience do you have Matt?

a fair bit across varied areas.

Haven't played with Windows Servers myself since the 03 version.

Lots of level 1 work on fixing desktops and printers

Can strip an rebuild laptops.

Old work had me build one of there Linux servers. After them having it 18 months and never getting it into production I had it up and running and through testing within 6 months (very strict testing they wanted especially after their f**kups). I actually hear that the system ran for 5.5 years without a single fault, they just replaced it as a preventative measure.

I used to be able to hack code together in java, specifically for HMI displays that talked to PLCs to run part of a steel works.

I use to be able to code well in C, haven't touched it in 5 years though, can read it, but don't know it fluently any more.

And I do a bit of hacking together with PHP and mySQL as a past time.

Have my own ML350 server at home, doing a fresh load on it at the moment as my acquisition centre, and file server.

As for work, I just talk it up... I'm a consultant, primarily dealing in SMB. Haven't actually touched the tools professionally for about 3.5 years. Have done plenty for myself and others but not as a job.

Just spoke to Haltech. They have not received any ECU from EFI Performance or under the name of Sean Ramsdell.

I asked them about the drilling of holes in ECU and they told me that they only do that to demonstration / display versions for dealer workshops to ensure they are not used again in the event they are stolen.

He ensured me that they will not do that to mine (if its there)

Really, really, really, really depressed with everything regarding the car FTM.............................to the point where I feel it just wasnt mean to be :/ :/ :/

The worse part about it is if the Haltech is fked, Im not in a financial position to purchase another which means no car, no tuning................................nothing.

Charity Cruise for Ants' Ecu, Tony's turbo, Chants' new car?

Anna is a bit the same, though due to her career knows lots of beauty/makeup stuff, aside from that, loves hello kitty, also rebuilds engines lol

We could be friends... I however know shit all about makeup or beauty, I hate going to the hairdresser with a passion!

It cant be removed, half of my house is a makeup salon, Anna works at a makeup supplier, brides come to our house to discuss makeup, half of Annas friends are in the business. ITs here to stay, but it makes Anna happy and makes us money so I am all good

This could come in handy information in the future!

Ah so are you doing pre sales work or in out money grab without being on the hook for delivery of product?

Charity Cruise for Ants' Ecu & Chants' new car?

FYP

Why no turbo for the Maxima?

Because Maxima, we will however chip in for Presidential flags

Ants, really sucks to hear your position mate. If you need anything...I mean anything, let me know. More than happy to help....sacrifice a testicle.

i do from opportunity arising, to the point order is placed, at which point acquisition of goods is handed to another department.

I then run hand over to technical and they manage install.

Ants, really sucks to hear your position mate. If you need (almost) anything, let me know. More than happy to help..

Thanks mate.

One thing awesome about this place is the goodness of people which is really appreciated.

Im just depressed for now. I will get over it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the ECU is not Fkd. but just requires a firmwarre update which I found here as Sean mentioned it is a v1

http://www.haltech.com/downloads-2/ecu-software-firmware/

I will talk to Sean next week and see if he has seen this, as to send a new working ECU back to Haltech for repair may not had been necessary but I will verify this wtih him.

Anna also hates the hair dresser lol

If you ever have make up needs let me know and I will pass it on to Anna

Thanks mate.

If the communication to the ECU is fokked though Sean wont be able to upgrade the firmware insitu

Anyone know how to remove gel nail polish? It's the shit that is cured under the UV lights...

I was gonna suggest industrial paint stripper but then I came to my senses :P

Maybe. I do not know enough about it comment on the inherent issue. Best to wait to hear from Haltech and Sean.

Probably EFI maybe allstar

ok.

Pre Sales then, I used to do it and will probably start my own company again to do it in this space.

Probably EFI maybe allstar

AllStar all the way.

    • 9" wheels are a little too wide for a RWD 32. They can fit. People have put R33 GTR wheels on 32s for years and years. But they are a very tight squeeze. This has been known for about 30 years. As I said - there is no difference between a 17 and an 18 in terms of what will fit. The rolling diameter needs to stay about the same as stock - not very much larger. If you increase that, you will start to have problems. If you increae rolling diamater at the same time as yo increase width, you will have problems earlier. as 9" wheels are pushing the boundaries already, you would need to be careful with tyre choice. I would put 8.5s on the front of mine, but would expect problems with 9s.

    • Diagnostic flow for a code 21 says check signal at the ECU pins, on a voltmeter of some kind it should read 0.1V at idle, 0.12V cranking, 0.15-0.25V at 2000 rpm. Check each coil such that +1, -3 is infinite or very high resistance, -3, +2 should do the same. (-1, +3), (+3, -2), (+1, -2), and (-1, +2) should all be somewhere between 0 ohms and high resistance. If you trace the path from the coil pin all the way back to the ECU in the diagram the resistance you measure at the coil vs connected to the harness should be pretty much the same.
    • I have an elite 2500 running an adapter harness on an rb25de neo r34. I took the butterfly out and removed all that junk. But I also went Plus+t at the same time. The butterfly thing works in reverse to the boost solenoid on the Gtt if that makes sense
    • yeh they are 235/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 in the rears. I still didn't get my answer if i can fit a 18x9 up front. I want to get 4 of this and see if they will fit before committing as they didn't see an 18x8 as an option but there is a 18x9.5 also.   Enkei RS05-RR 18x9 35mm ET 5x114.3 75.0 Bore Matte Gunmetal Wheel
