so gonna give you superglue now u mentioned that

Last time o had superglue I glued myself to the dash of my car haha!

More information? Task?

Making flower arrangements with artificial flowers... Lol

If you have the room and don't set a deadline, it's a lot less painless.

How did Supra get written off?

It's been four years now... I miss having a running skyline :(

Plus I don't really have the room, and it's a PITA each time I need to move :(

Planning to have the room issue sorted in around 18 - 24 months though, which should be SAWEET!

Supra was written off because I stuffed up taking a corner. Spun it into a cliff. Really bad corner, that really shifts the weight of the car mid corner, and it had moss and water on it too, rear end came around, shifted weight mid corner and back the opposite way.

Drove it out from where I was and back down to an area a towie could get in, and shut it down before it over heated and damaged anything.

Bought it home and wrecked it. Actually made money on it. LOL. But god I miss that car, it was just so... Raw! LOL

Room solves the issues, when you get sick of it cover it up and leave it for a while.

Sounds like that ridiculous corner in the Royal National Park lol. I had a very tense moment on that corner.

I have been thinking about picking up a Supra - the power from standard internals appeals :)

yet the mighty stock rb26 can also hold its ground reasonably well ;)

Nah... Much worse corner than in RNP... LOL Goes from a down hill run off camber, to just a bit after the apex it shifts up hill, on camber. Hence, lack of traction incoming, rear end came around, and it massively shifted the weight right as I put some opposite lock on... Lot of oppy lock as huge grip comes back = f**king messy LOL

Until it oil surges... LOL

The supra I had was a 3rd Gen Supra a GA70 specifically, so a 2.0L I6 TT. It was NOT quick, not at all, LOL but I love it, it had character. Disconnect the waste gate vac lines and just let the turbos self regulate at around 25 PSi... Toyota had enough fuel from factory that it wouldn't knock :P

I took a JZA80 out to a motorkhana, exceptionally fun car to drive, but forget about EVER getting traction off the line. They just want to wheel spin. A very nice cruiser, although more something I'd build if I was young and stupid again and wanted a highway runner. This is where even a GTS-t kills a JZA80, ability to grip and go!

Haha you know how some animals do stupid shit because they go oooh what's this what will happen....

That's me... This no glue, axes or knives... I had to get my hand glued last year cutting an orange with a knife :-/

corkscrew corner. Embankment on opposite side of road, or same side?

I don't think they sell it by the drum lol and it's kind of greasy, which rules out sunscreen substitute lol

It's a left hand turn on a road country road near Wollongong.

Cliff is on opposite side of the road. So I came in, turned left, car stepped the rear end to the outside of thecorner, grabbed a whole heap of grip in the front and flung it back around the opposite way and across the road and into the cliff.

There was a lot of factors involved in why it happened, but the main one, that contributed 99% to it, was the driver farked up.

Haha go to buy some hmmm... Do you have any more of this out back I need to fill a bath with it...

Sales person... Ahhhh WTF...

Surprisingly there is another brand of that stuff that does get sold by the 44gallon drum.

Known in industry as just "Barrier Cream"

The electricians at my old job introduced me to it, I also worked with a bunch of fitters. The fitters called the electricians poofs for using "hand cream"...

Yeah, one of the fitters finally tried it... Now the fitters are also being a bunch of poofs and using hand cream... LOL Stuff is magic for protecting your hands from grease and grime. Should get my step dad to get me some for while I'm working on cars... Although, I've also been abused into wearing gloves so I dont cut myself as much... LOL

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
