Mmmm Nitto gear, that's some sweet stuff!

Someone has too much money (Compared to me) :P

Easy come, easy go. Spend it all on silly stuff like cars. seriously, world's worst person to copy financially. Plus, ultimately can only ever drive one at a time. I should have become a liquidator to highlight my talent... sell stuff for 5 cents in the dollar lol

I have followed the Nitto R&D their crankshafts and I-beam rods are unbelievably strong. Good thing about Andrew is that he'll let you buy the bits and pieces component by component and gives you all the clearances and tolerances to set it all up. Buy rods for 3.2 stroker first and then you're committed to the rest :)

Hmm replacing a heater core on a r33... Doesn't sound fun

2 ways to swap it, one involves disconnecting the A/C lines requiring a regass and the other is pulling the whole dash out... I bought a brand new core from the UK 6 months ago.. that's as far as I have got

The other involves yelling "FUGGIT" and just linking the heater hoses in the engine bay... LOL

Here's the secret to a cheap heater core install - find a wrecker that wrecks Skylines only. Ask wrecker to do a cashishy  job to install new heater core. They take them out so often that they can do it in no time at all without damage and remembering where everything goes :)

you used bing...that's a paddlin

aspirations and goals are a good thing mate!

Dream are unfortunately still free.

    • Just to add, I found the r32 gtr ecu the most forgiving, the r33 one would get the shits.
    • For what it’s worth I drove my gtr for over a decade with gt-ss as a true daily after I pulled off the -5s, I had it engineered and went with stock ecu etc.  never skipped a beat.    I would only worry if you can’t get good fuel all the time in a tropical paradise
    • I bought an engine from a friend of a friend many years ago, it was sold to me as a RB25det Neo.    recently I started pulling it apart and noticed that the intake manifold was pretty different from others that I had seen on RB engines so did a bit of research and found that it was a non turbo manifold. So I’m sceptical now that it is a NEO DET and just thinking it’s a NEO DE (it does have a turbo strapped to it currently).    can you identify the engine model from the numbers on the block?
    • Yeah you can. Cable tie the gauge to a windscreen wiper, or run it into the car and hold it with one hand, or have the neighbour's kid run alongside and tell you what it says.
    • I've never understood why this bothers people. Surely you'd be looking at a T3 flanged Garrett style thing, rather than a TD? You're unlikely to push a +T hard enough to need that much fuel. If you're not starting with most of the things you need to do that (ie, the bloody ECU!), you're better off just going Haltech/Link. You wil hate life a lot less. No. Just no. Just turbo it as is.
