VSB - 14

Open document and scroll down to a PDF link entitled: Section LA - Engine. This is TMR legal mandate for modifying cars/engines etc in QLD.

They also explain at the bottom why P1 and P2 are in their mind limited to non- high powered vehicles.

You've disproved your argument right there. It clearly states that if an engine that is 120% (or more) powerful than the factory fitted option, certification is required. RB25DE = 200hp RB25DET = 250hp. Clear difference that is greater than 20%.

I was actually talking about NSW. I posted above for others to view after looking into qld for you. I can read :whistling:

Dot point 2 of clause 1.1 leaves some scope for argument. I went to conference about all of this and they are seeking to nationalise. It can be done in QLD, but may require certification depending on precedent about aforementioned point.

8.1?

Who do you work for any how long have you been planning?

Brookfield Multiplex I'm a site engineer though not a planner i just do all the programming for my zones. Only use p6 for the contract stuff all my other ones are on suretrak 3. Been doing it for about 3 years.

Who do you work for?

For the record - looked up law for you after my initial posts. TMR don't make the laws, they simply interpret them and most importantly these laws are constantly changing. Law never stays still.

I never expressed an opinion on whether it could or couldn't be done. Simply posted the relevant section where all answers are found for Qld. I was trying to be helpful.

However, there is the above clause and section to seek an engineer's opinion on.

Who do you work for?

Ah I see. I've worked for Downer EDI (engineering arm) for about 8 nearly 9 years (5 as a planner), then BMA/BHP as a senior project controller, now I work for a consultant company, currently working on TMR flood portfolio

Sup All, need less sand in vagina's in here.

Can you do it...yes

can you legally do it...maybe

can you do it on the sly...yes

can you get away with it...not likely

All sorted now on to important things.

Early day, and Telstra issues resolved quick smart. Best indian call center person I've ever encountered. A little hard to understand but very helpful, and actually listened and agreed......crazy world

it is only a matter of time Bodo before call centers and the like become more effective and efficient.........and then charge just as much (if not more) than if it were performed in Australia.

    • I think he was only proposing to use the wire, not the sender. Simply because it runs from the right place to the right place. Personally, I wouldn't hack up the factory wiring like that. I'd just lay in the Defi loom.
    • From memory it wasn't too hard to simply see which wire ran where when you plug that in. Unfortunately also from memory the OEM sender does not use the same configuration 99.9% of gauges run. So in other words if you connect the signal wire that was running to the OEM gauge to your DEFI gauge you might find your oil reads at 200C or some other incorrect value. I remember having the same line of thought and then running new wires/senders to match the gauges I have. The pinout is available in the R34 workshop manual.
    • Does anyone on here know which wire on the GTT triple gauge pod harness is for the oil temp gauge? my sensor works fine but I upgraded the gauges to DEFI advance. And if I can simply piggyback off the oem oil temp wire to the Defi oil temp sensor wire that would make life so much easier.
