Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

In other news... Swapped some 2871's into a mates zed over the weekend. What a PITA.

Goes pretty decent tho, considering 14psi and a stock engine with low comp on at least 1 cyl :D

I found them quite good also :s

For the price

They're decent in the dry, but absolute rubbish in the wet. As quite a few at the sprint day last year will attest to :P.

If you think they're 'quite good' in the wet, you need to try some other tyres ;)

Ohhhhhhh I didn't realise they were designed to be a wet track tyre! :P

Kuhmos FTW!

For real though 595s are never going to be excellent in the wet, they have no radial grooves, The EVO or the RPM are needed for that. Trouble with either of those is the crappy size selection though, Luckily I can fit a 285 if I really must.

I wasn't using them at the track... but others were and found them to be quite useless.

I have used them on the road before though and they were terrible in the wet. This pair I just found in my garage, I think I bought them second hand from Pete. They are equally awful.

You are right they are never going to be good in the wet due to their tread pattern. Just can't figure out why people keep buying them and claiming they are god's gift of cheap tyres when they are so, so bad in the wet :S.

Guess the kiddies just love their liquid horsepower and don't know how much better it is to have tyres that actually provide some traction in the wet

They get most of thier props from the drift community dont they? and for that they are especially good, can take a real beating

    • What!? US law does not apply to the rest of the world!!!
    • No requirement for JDM vehicles,  which the 33 is, maroney label only needed in the US market for new cars I believe (Federal law stuff) Google knows all
    • Hopefully you can just unbolt them, thank them for their service, then bin them and not replace them Apparently the sensors like to set them off with only minor impacts at low speed It looks like they do a delete kit for some of these, but, it is costly
