Actually, that's not really true... If it is working correctly, you don't really notice it.

Something something if it ain't broke something

Not sure if Mel's is working properly or not but I sure noticed it.

Turn in to corner...

Then correct for hicas

Straighten up out of corner...

Then correct for hicas

So it might just be it reacts a little slow to what you are doing... or it might be stuffed. Haven't driven enough HICAS cars to be sure.

Either way, it needs to go!

Noticed there's a sprint day on on the 13th. I will be in town...

Aww heck i'll enter it.

edit: sprint day page!

I think Dave is taking his pinny out to that, so I might head out for a look

Sounds about right for 18 year old HICAS. Thats why I had to pull mine out.

Pinky just wanted a go at steering haha! Will attempt to get rid of it once I get the lock bar from Mike... Before Happy laps tho, Sooo very soon... Probably means won't be going to watch sprints because I'll be trying not to break too much whilst getting rid of HICAS that weekend!

Hahaha! I don't know if he wants to supervise me when tools are involved, I don't have a very good track record at not hurting myself! :-)

Not too hard, I did it by myself.

Then you can do an eye alignment.

Lol, yeah... I think the place next to work does alignments so I'll hopefully be able to just drop it in when I go to work and pick it up when I leave.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
