Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

We've been over this before....

ECU isn't compatible. Plenty of servos around. Why bother.

orly?

The reason I ask is because of this

Dalby Ethanol Bio-Refinery under threat of closure. - See more at: http://www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/united/news/news-item/news/2014/02/17/dalby-ethanol-bio-refinery-under-threat-of-closure-#sthash.i1z8FdYx.dpuf

Almost didn't stay up for the race last night. Glad I did :), but boy am I going to pay for it today. Struggle street... :S

Pretty sure I will be going home this arvo to watch it online... I like 4 or the top 5 so I will like the race at least :P

Yeah. And by carrying jerry can problem solved. In fact I can fit 2 of the 20L ones in easily. It was really more of a question of do i stop at every servo along the way or do I take the Jerry can so I can stop less to save time, As I was trying to cram Leyburn and Kawana into one day. My range is limited however, yes, but honestly I don't think that i'll need to go further than a bit of planning will allow at any point in the future.

Part of it is also that i'm still trying to get a handle on the economy of the new Fuel. I was getting 17-18L/100km on the first few tanks but these were city and spirited driving, so max 400km from a tank. From T'bar>Leyburn>home>Logan servo on Saturday I averaged 14.7L/100km which is much better, almost 500km/tank range there.

Once I get the O2 sensors in hopefully it'll be even better again!

I travelled to and from bribie island though so there was some km's involved. I left my house with a full tent got to the BBQ point with half tank, threw in my 20L then drove home and once I got there I had half a tank again. A lot better than I expected really

Guess it's less painful paying $1.25 p/litre

Mitsubishi ASX is a POS but fuel efficient... Just don't try to overtake, or corner at a normal speed on a slightly rough road... Needless to say it was over 10hrs in a boring car on the weekend...

What ecu are you using Pete? Nistune?

How will narrowband O2's help with e85?

Better off removing closed loop IMO and tuning for a targetted afr at cruise ;)

    • Doing a +T on my car and I’ve read the precious forums lots of mixed reviews from sometime back.  checking if anyone has any ideas for airbox or enclosed pod filter or solutions?  I was thinking stock GTT box but some say it’s restrictive? I seen some people try fit in a pod in the box anyone done that recently?  not any good enclosed options ? Thanks
    • I think in the modern era we live in, if I were converting a hydro lifter head to solid, particularly when chasing revs, I'd be seeing what I could do to use shimless buckets. Those of us with Neos usually have this persistent niggling fear of a shim getting spat out and ruining everything. Shim-over is...yucky that way. At least the Tomei kit appears to be conventional, but it would still be nice if they'd decided to go shimless.
    • Ok guys thank you very much. GCG highflow it is then 🙂
    • forgot to mention that when it does this it does not kill the engine, but I have not kept the pedal down long enough to let it, as I see no reason to beat up on it as its got to be something simple, small and dumb causing this.  And as soon as I let off pedal, the engine returns to its normal super smooth operation and rpms re-stabilize quickly, once below 4k.
