Anyone Hiring? Tyrefitter/aligner/manual Labour - Indoors.

Recommended Posts

As title.

Need an indoor job as my current job requires me to put sunscreen on every 30 minutes because I sweat it off.

I am a competent, but not qualified Tyre Fitter/Wheel aligner.
Have 1.5 years exp.
Also decent with mechanical.

Looking for full time mon-sat.
Was on 820 take home with bob jane.
Looking for between 620-820 8-5 mon-fri, 8-3/4 on sat.

Worked for Goodyear, Bobjane, and tyres and more.

Had a run in with a worker at bob jane, quit because I was assaulted and no action was taken.
Received a black eye a fractured rib and a cracked tooth from being hit with a tyre lever.

Tried calling Fair Trading, they said because the boss didn't have camera's installed and "No-one witnessed it" it was an un-just case and was dismissed.
And here was me thinking I was smart by not hitting back.
(The reason for this happening is because A: The guy did a shit repair job on a tyre, then I got blamed because I stamped out the job sheet when I drove the car out. B: I proved it was him and just before lunch the c*nt laid into me. Boss did nothing, no one did anything, didn't fight back because I didn't want to get my own ass in trouble.)

I am a good solid worker, and I actually enjoy working with tyres (go figure... dirty, greasy, grubby and when there's no work the hours are LONG.), as I said above - competent in the job.
I am eager to get my front end ticket and my cert 2 tyre fitting down pat, and do it for the next two years until I become a legal adult apprentice then do my adult apprenticeship, but I want money saved up first.
I have no problems with people unless they do wrong by me, or blame me for shit.

If no one has any tyre fitting work.

I will happily take a packing/warehouse etc. job, I have my white card and first aid cert.
Indoors work only pretty much.
I burn way too fast in the sun, and walking 20 KM a day on $20 an hour is a JOKE.

I can start immediately, happy to go on 3 months probation period.

Just need work now.
Got rent to pay and now I have a kid to feed (yeah.. not my kid, but my girlfriend has a kid, yadda yadda... yeah.. anyway...)

Thanks to anyone who can help me, I'll buy you a CASE of beer of your choice. (serious)

PM me or call on 0431045486.

I don't think he specialises in employment law, but he does specialise in workers rights.

Employment law = works rights... Tregtr is just trying to be helpful, atleast show a little appreciation for it :)

SkudR33 and some others know what area of law Tregtr practises - thus a friendly rebuke.

What you may not know is that Tregtr knows the ins and outs of what MTA Members' responsibilities are to you the employee.

He has been an RB and Rotary technician after first becoming a BMW Service Mngr.

I think he understands the conflict you've been in and thus, reads between the lines of the way you came across.

We'll keep our ears to the ground for appropriate jobs :)

    • When you say your cams are 272/262 is that 272in and 262ex?
    • We're arguing semantics. I am saying 45 accel and a 55 deccel ramp are "2 ways". Even a 45 degree ramp and an 89 degree ramp is "2 ways", because it is literally... two ways. The cusco 55/30 ramp is a 2 way. It's two ways. I get it though - in normal nomenclature a "2 way" would be 45/45 or 55/55 or 60/60 i.e the same locking in both directions. And something like 45/65 would be considered "1.5 way". I would then say if we're getting into the nitty gritty then every locking diff is a "2 way" diff and we should not speak in 1.5, or 2 ways but ramp angles instead. Which ofc if one of those ramp angles is 90deg, that side is not doing any locking. :p So Nismo don't obviously sell 3 things. The fact of the matter that they only sell two items really goes to show that there's a 2 way and a "1,5 way" which is really a 1 way. I believe the actual lockup for the 'adjustability' of the GT pro is really just setting preload for when the ramps actually start locking up. It's not changing how much 'wayness' there is. It is (somehow) horribly explained. People just buy whatever diff and go "locks up good bruh" and that's what ends up on socials forever.
    • No, you're wrong, and you've always been wrong about this. The Nismo has 2 sets of openings. One is a real 2-way, and the other is a 1-way. There is no 1.5-way possible with the ramps that they offer. A real 1.5-way does exist. That Cusco stuff I posted is a prime example. If the forward drive ramps are, say 55°, and the overrun ramps are, say, 30°, then you will get about half as much LSD effect on overrun than you do on drive. It is real, it realy works. OK, you're slightly right. The Nismo has 55° and 45° ramps on the 2-way, so it does offer less LSD effect on overrun. But, I think that just means that they've (probably) sensibly established that you do not want actually equal LSD effect on overrun. You just want "quite a lot, but not quite as much as the drive LSD effect".
    • Just wanted to unearth this and post my baby with the new front ❤️😝 Took her to my wedding rehearsal today. Next up is getting wide skirts (after wedding)
