craziichriss
Hey guys. Got a RACV check on a R32 GTR today and it came back with structural rust and severe cracking to the chassis rails. Is it worth fixing and if so how much would this cost me roughly to fix? Any recommended body shops? ZRBE
Sucks to hear man, one of my chassis rails are bent from a head on.. (Bought the car unaware of damage) Going to cost me $300 just to get it all measured and checked out. Guy in Labrador on the Gold Coast. Sinista32
sorry to hear that mate Is it worth it ? only a Pro can give you an estimate after a detailed inspection and you make the decision on price. my thought from the few words you have mentioned "rust and structural" & R32GTR likely not. as a passion and money pit will be your call as an investment or good re-sell value - definitely never. what ever money you throw at it ! Sinista32
whats the third picture of ? 1. Rail - can be repaired/replaced. Likely surface rust from hitting something (often!) 2. Battery shelf - meh ! 3. No Idea Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/434401-how-bad-is-structural-rust-and-can-it-be-fixed/#findComment-7093737 Share on other sites

luke gtr
from the pics (always clearer irl), looks to be surface rust atm. strip it back, get a can of rust converter (like spray paint), and go to town on it.
