Nah man. Was ordered two months ago. I'm betting late February if delivery in Japan works well with the container it's being put in.

They both have taller ratios.

Assuming a 265/35x18 tyre and stock ratios and a rev limit of 8000 RPM the speeds are as follow

Stock

1st - 75

2nd - 120

3rd - 180

PPG Helical and straight cut dog

1st - 89

2nd - 143

3rd - 189

OS GIKEN

1st - 87

2nd - 138

3rd - 190

Is the os giken speeds that you have showed are they the correct speeds even with the close ratio gear set? I would have thought that the closer gear set would shorten at least gears 2,3,4 and 5? Ow btw are those figures for a 34 ? Or 32 gtr?

The OS GIKEN 5 speed is most definately taller than factory gearing. That is assuming 4.11's in the diffs. Gts4 ratios will shorten that by 7% iirc.

What's the setup?

It would make the gearing awfully short with the 4.11's. You'd be changing gears like an Evo. It isn't the cheapest conversion to do.

Like he said what's the set up?

Set up is an r34 gtr getrag 6spd gearbox fitted to a 32 gtr .. it's the whole box including everything needed to do the conversation

By setup I meant what's the engine/turbo combination.

Boobee. The reason I was asking turbo/engine combo is that (and this is my opinion only) the taller gears in the OS set make a lethargic bottom end of a 2.6 L engine and make it even more pronounced.

For example, a mate on here on a pretty decent R33 GTR put one in and ended pulling it out and going back to stock ratios. That was predominately a track car too. 2.6 with -9's and -5's at different points.

Just something to think about.

Bakemono. Cheers man :D. Be good to drive it again lol.

Oh the lols

only do the Getrag if you do the 3.545 diffs as well, 1st gear in my 34 is now and always was useless even when it was a 2.6 with -7s, so add 4.11s to that and you may as well stay with the 5 speed as you won't use first with the Getrag

I can't wait to see the difference between 4.11s and 3.545s with the two identical OS88s once put side by side :D

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
