Xtreme Motorsports Closed Down?

That was me that posted that and it wasn't being blind it was me not wanting to flame them without having all the info and I never actually said I believed the quote I found on Facebook I simply said that I also saw someone had said that and later said it was what I read but who knows if it is true or not

Now having read more it seems they were dodgy and I have responded further to that thread on EvoOz showing that info.

Let's hope we can get dodgy bastards like this out of the industry for good. I bought my evo 8 from sports auto group before I knew better and after hearing some of the bad stories about them I was pretty lucky with mine as mine is in really good condition both body and mechanically wise

What about the thought on your Evo 8 having misleading mileage figures. Wouldn't that be a bit of a concern?

Obviously it's a bit of a concern but if my km aren't legit I don't think they will be far off I've had two evo specialist comment on the great condition of the car. It's still on the factory clutch with 268kw atw and showing no signs of slipping, steering wheel and front seats look almost brand new and still has the factory gear knob which looks almost brand new as well. You can tell The jap owner really looked after it.

Who is flaming them? Department of Fair trading?

Besides, what info do you need other then they have been convicted in a court for doing dodgy business?

Regardless, I think that the fine they need to pay is pathetic. There should be higher fines for this type of deceit.

    • To be Frank (always liked that name), I reckon this is a better idea. I'm an R32 man from day 1 and the really good surviving examples that are still in stock form should stay that way. Let ye conscience guide you my son 🙂

    • Took a little trip  went to nismo hoping the get my fuel tank hoses and unfortunately they told me they didn’t have stock luckily I was able to go to a Nissan parts store and they were able to order them in for me  then can home and cleaned the tank with some degreaser and fitted the new hoses before putting it back in the car
    • 100% I’ll hack into the 33. Strap a turbo onto the RB25DE and/or put the 25 head on a 30 block. 33 passed in cos the reserve was too high. I’ll try lowballing it again and negotiate. Aim is to have it landed and on the road for under 15k, then spend the same amount on top in mods.
    • It's generally best practise to run 1x run without VCT enabled, then 1x run enabled till redline. Overlay the two torque graphs and you'll find the desired RPM to turn off VCT. Sometimes, it might be even worthwhile turning off VCT earlier control torque/cylinder pressure and using VCT purely to spool the turbo.
