Silver Nissan Skyline E-BCN R33
Build date 02/1998
Engine RB26 DE TT 2568
Registered in Vic until 17/11/2014

This care was bought and held as a collectors car by my late brother. He was the second owner and purchased it on 19/11/1999 when it had 3564 kms on the clock. It had been kept in storage for almost all of that time. It is in mint condition and has NEVER been in an accident. It has recently been checked by Eric Schlinlener. By brother passed away just over three years ago and now his widow wants to sell it to another passionate collector.

Only about 100 of these cars were ever brought into the country by Nissan and you will not find another with such little usage and still in mint original condition.

This is a GENUINE rare find and a set price has not been decided as it is not your usual car within the market place. The car is in Melbourne and any questions can be directed to me.

Asking price: $70,000 - Serious buyers only.

Forum rules state a price must be posted.

Also interior, engine bay, speedo, out in the open pics would be a good start for something that is of this calibre.

All things which will help you sell it

Hi Gabriel,

So sorry to hear about the loss of your brother.

I too have lost a son - as my other son here on SAU has lost his brother.

It appears it's a non-V-Spec. But all the same, I'd ask an importer like Iron Chef to check over the paperwork so he can put it up on his website for you and advise a proper price. Maybe someone in VIC who's also reputable.

Here on SAU you need to furnish a set price or a minimum price pls?

Sorry for being a Nuff. How do I edit my post?

Just put up your price now in a different colour and larger font size now Gabriel + More Pics and car details if poss.

Only Admins and Execs can edit posts after several minutes have elapsed I'm afraid.

Thanks Blitz,

A couple of corrections.

1. Odometer reads 7249 kms (not 7429)

2. First sentence - this car (not care)

3. Sixth sentence - my brother (not by brother)

4. A nominal price of $70,000 is being asked but genuine offers will be considered. This is not a fire sale nor an opportunity to pick up an everyday driving car with low kms at a cheap price. This is a car for a genuine collector or for concourse. It will be retained by my brother's adult sons if not purchased by a passionate GTR enthusiast.

A person that will need to spend $70,000 to purchase this will undoubtedly like to see a considerable amount of photo's.

There was a grade 4.5 Nismo 400R which sold through Japanese auction for $65,000 landed and complied. Considering a scarce amount were made, this is arguably the most sought after R33 model there is (even more so than an N1). Thus, regarding an asking price of 70k + for this....can it be insured for such an amount like the 400r would be able to, considering it's a base model?

I think if you get 40k you have done well.

It's a silver non Vspec.

I put a bid in for an N1 with 40kms 4.5B in Japan recently which sold for 35k.

I would prefer thay to this as I'm sure others will also.

I am genuinely interested in the car but not for anywhere near that price mate.

Gabriel, thanks for confirming the price - Your first post has been updated accordingly

As a few other members have pointed out to avoid confusion, Nissan never brought R33 GTR's into the country, so while genuine low km's certainly qualify this car as a standout collector car, it is still an import.

That said, you are entitled to ask whatever price you like.

Cheers.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
