I doubt you will get much improvement if you change tyres alone. Most of the time I find its because people have way to much negative camber on the wheels, so your car is only gripping on a 20c piece of rubber instead of the full width.

Even the khumo ku31 on my pulsar had zero wet traction with 50% tread

That's strange, I had camber worn KU31 all round in my GT-R, turned fine in the rain. About 50% on the outside. Nangkang are shithouse.

What is the one thing that connects your car to the road? Why would you skimp out on tyres?

That's a big call when you dont know what camber its running.

But yeah, if the car has been lowered its probably running too much neg camber, in which case some raising and/or extra adjustability will be required.

hey guys, sorry to bring this thread up again but just an update. Took the old tyres off which had been worn bald in the inner edge due to running -2 camber up the front. Replaced them with continentals and problem solved! Just had to wait for a rainy day to test them. Thanks again for all the information guys

    • That's why I said it is a meaningless term. Because there is more than one meaning that people can apply to it. When we said "highflow", that is exactly what we mean, and exactly what is done. In a highflow, they take your housing and machine them out to take bigger wheels, have a better internal profile, etc etc, and fit a new core with the different/better/bigger wheels.
