Extra Injector, Get It To Fire With No Ecu Input?

so i'm just stuffing around with straight water injection on the spare daily( 97 lancer).

electrics ain't my strong point so i've seen youtube injector cleaning videos and tried resistors etc to no avail

how does one get an injector to fire without running it on the ecu?

Well, you don't use an injector anyway. Petrol injectors will usually end up failing with water in them, and you need a really big one to get enough water anyway.

Water spray is just done with a high pressure pump and optionally a solenoid (to switch it off positively) and a fine mist nozzle. You can buy kits. Aquamist, etc etc. Search it, there are many threads, including one all about the whole subject.

So are you actually planning on using an inector with water? As GTSBoy had said that won't work.

An ecu won't be able to just fire an extra injector anyway

But as per your queston. Put 12v to injector. bam, it's open. Then its f7cked cos of the water running through it.

*unless you run some kind of emulsion with the water, diluted oil of some kind.

You can also run one of the new stainless internal injectors, but probably best to just buy a second hand aquamist kit from someone.

i need to look into those stainless injectors in the future.

just figured out my pump didn't have enough pressure to make the injector work so got it sorted now
