I'm VERY tempted to send his dad an email with the link for this thread /looking at mods - not a good idea?

I work at the fraud department at ANZ, he didn't have an ANZ account that you wired your money too did he?

I still think this definitely be taken further than just getting money back. But that's just my two cents.

Count me in on the action. I dont think that any violent acts/law breaking would represent SAU forum in a positive way nor would it really make up any difference of $7400.

I would seriously front to XXXXXXX if a group of us got together in force to request the money back from this 'Jordan' character.

If gookboi would be so kind as to scan and email a copy of his wire copy original and write out his story in a signed statement, the least we could do as SAU representatives is front 'Jordan' and ask his story.

If 'Jordan' denies all involvement, which is very likely, then we can take the evidence we have to the police in which we have all rights to do.

At the end of the day, it would be the right thing to do and would make a good point of saying that 'SAU does not condone fraudulant/illegal activities'..

What do you think?

It's a bit of a mob mentality that's starting to go on here. Fair enough he's made a mistake, either consciously or not, and now he's paying it back. People have been warned about his behaviour, and he's likely not to get much business until this matter gets forgotten. Case closed?

It's bad enough it happened in the first place, no need to start a lynch mob armed with tar and feathers to create a second mistake....

My point exactly. I still think that something should be done.

Maybe we could all donate a gold coin to SAU to allow for a debt collector to find this missing money.

Just remember Doughboy, if you were short $7400 i would expect you to sort legal advice. I think gookboi is either rich, helpess or crazy. I would definitely miss $7400 in cash.

My whole point is to make a statement. That statement being 'don't abuse your priveledges on the SAU forum'. Just preaching 'watch out for blah blah' is not stopping the problem, its sidestepping the problem. Taking action and showing other members that SAU are serious about fraudulent activities is very important.

I would like to continue purchasing and selling goods over these pages, hassle free!

Even some official SAU closure on this issue would be nice! It does directly effect the way that i will continue use the forum, that's for sure. Surely an issue that effects its members should be investigated and brought to closure, i don't call that 'tar and feathers action'.

Hang on, let me get this straight. One person has come forward regarding being "ripped off", plans are being made up to re-imburse and now you want to persue the matter further? I don't recall anyone carrying on wanting to incite a rebellion with (insert business name here) over Dicky's missing parts/money.

Furthermore, why is it acceptable to allow this thread to continue to probe a person, with full mention of their contact details, business address etc. when it is STRICLY VERBOTEN to have a similar thread in direct relation to a business? I can recall a ton of posts being deleted and edited because they involved negative comments towards a business before, why is it being overlooked now?

Mob mentality at it's finest.... or should I say lemmings?

beacuse the said person misused these forums and as a result was banned from here. In fact, there is a list of bad traders on this forum and he's already mentioned on there.

Also no-one is making comments about the business practices itself..people have mentioned where he works and that in light of the difficulties in contacting him, some suggested contacting him through the business.

It has been about 6 months since he had my money. And because i started posting, he got some what scared of what it might do to his fathers shop and wanted to pay me back.

We in no way wanted harm to come to the company. We referred to it as a contacting place to recieve his attention and it seemed to work nicely.

Chris, hold on just a second.

As it happens I know of at least two others on SAU who have been badly shafted by DESCR8, although not to the extent of $7400, who have yet to see this thread. In my opinion, until DESCR8 comes good on his promise and pays back g00kboi, and settles his issues with other members, the big issue is far from over.

One thing I do agree on is being very careful at this time and not jeopardising g00kbois immediate chance of being reimbursed. If and when this occurs, then and only then should any further action be considered.

Also regarding the business Vs. individual slandering, I see your point, however many of those who have been screwed by DESCR8 have documentation and evidence of conversations between themselves and Jordan, so there are no unfounded accusations flying, and no rumours as Jordan has admitted being at fault.

As far as im concerned, this thread is ok and its staying open to inform SAU's members of the progress of this situation.

I would however like to see it trimmed back and certain comments and threats being removed.

Nick

i reckon a good going over this thread censoring it is in order, with his contact details and business links edited out. However his name and shenanigans should be left on here to demonstrate exactly why he shouldn't be dealt with and also in order to help others taht he may have rorted.

It seems that Jordan went through with the transfer and just recieved the fax that says it has been sent.

so if the mods can be kind enough to delete this thread. Jordan wants the thread to be erased.

Wait until it appears in your account.

    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
