So when I bought this car, the guy was saying that included in the price was these none standard wheels. Fair enough, they do look better than the stock standard ones I thought and I went with it. But are these even OEM 350GT wheels?

This is what I found for stock wheels for the 350GT

This is what I have

So by the looks of it, the couple only had 18" and 19" wheels, the sedan had 16", 17" and 18".

They look decent but why are they only 17"? They appear to be genuine Nissan, maybe from a Maxima or something? I cant find them anywhere.

I'll have to check but I think they are 215 front 235 rear. Seems like a downgrade and a rippoff.

they look a bit like J32 Maxima rims, but not quite the same.

it is easy enough to put the 'Nissan' cap on just about any rim.

Any S2 V35 (sedan or coupe) will require a minimum of 17in rims as they have larger stock brakes than the S1.

take off one of the wheels & check the back of the spokes

if it's genuine nissan it should have Nissan stamping on the back of the spokes, or even Enkei.

Enkei made the stock wheels for v36 so I'm assuming v35 should be same?

The back wheels look tiny in those rear guards though :/

Thanks Howaitonaito, I guess they are genuine Nissan afterall.

And yeah Yo-Yo I agree, going to spend a little on a new set and will be putting on a set of spacers like nightcrawler has said.

Not sure if I want to go with 18" or 19"

Mint set painted in like a gunmetel on ebay for 850

mmmm, those look awesome, the darker colour might match up better with a white car. I am probably going to paint my grille black too.

Thanks for the heads up

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
