Hi, All -

This is not a "for sale" post, it is a "I just wanted you all to know that I will be making these soon" post.

At the right time, I will become a vendor here and market them through the approprtiate channels here on the forum.

There is a part in the mold that I can swap out to make the ones "with intake bulge" and the ones with the flat front. It "should" only be another month or two, thanks!

A point of clarification: There will be an insert in the mold which will allow two types of clear cam gear cover to be made: ones with the VCT bulge, and ones with a flat surface instead. That way, I can fit the RB20 as well as the RB25 engine types, thanks!

See them here: www.ZakleeCorp.com

I'm offering the RB20 and RB25 cover, as well as a Bolt Kit, in case you have lost or damaged your 20-year old bolts from Nissan.

Thanks!

Can you make the rb25 cover without the bulge on the front left. I'm running aftermarket cams so I don't need that clearance bulge :)

Hi, Skud -

I wasn't counting on this question when I designed the mold. After careful consideration, let me say, with apologies, that you are probably much more the exception than the rule, and modifying the mold to be able to have the option to make it flat on the exhaust side isn't a great business model for me.

Hi, Xklaba -

I used to have examples of the stock RB25 and RB26 covers in my shop, and they are different, sadly. The profile of the 26 is curved, where the profile of the 25/26 is more like "faceted". I'm not sure the bolt pattern is different. If I were you, I would find a shop that has the 25 and the 26 covers, stock, and compare them for similarity of bolt pattern before I would try to bolt a 25 cover on the front of a 26 engine.

Actually, if you could find the stamped sheet metal piece that bolts to the front of the RB26 head, and a stock RB25/20 front cover, you could verify the bolt pattern that way. Great question!

That was a suggestion for Joey :)

Personally I have no deers eyes about RB25s, I have the greddy clear cover on my 32 and know Nitto make one also for the RB26 and just thought he might look into that cause I know people have put the 26 covers on 25s but I don't know what's involved in doing so :/

We offer no "warranties, implied or expressed" for fitting our RB25/20 cover to other engines. They "may" fit the RB26, though I would like one of my current customers to try this for me, please, and send some pictures to me.

I've looked into it, the rb26 covers won't fit :(

Gents -

The RB26 cover is a great distance off in the future, if at all. Making molds for clear cam gear covers is a long, arduous journey, as well as very expensive. I am far from paying off the RB20/25 mold at this point. Also, with someone else currently having a mold for the RB26, the prospects for Zaklee making one are dim.

The Zaklee product line can be browsed easily, just go here: www.ZakleeCorp.com.

Thanks, Mates!

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
