do some decent porting of the head and it will make it easier. We had a T78 on an RB26 and depending on the dyno it made either 460rwkw or 400rwkw lol

All we cared about was that it ran 130mph+ on 98 pump fuel so the dyno figures didnt really matter. It now makes 485rwkw on E85 and time will tell what mph and et it runs now

Large framed turbo and good street response is what everyone wants but physics gets in the way.

If it isn't in that thread then it's probably not going to happen the way you want it.

Is it a silly question to ask why you need that power specific power level?

Basically the power level is to achieve guarantee high 9 sec pass at calder

Previously had a single cammed rb30 go 10.8 at 126 mph at calder on pump fuel with jatco 3 speed with 3500 convertor and 3.7 in rear

Now have gone twin cam 26 headed rb30 so basically seeing what works for people

Not looking to break any records just want good honest power and not a dyno queen

Checked out that 400kw link but doesn't really get into pump 98 combos, everybody has jumped on e85 band wagon.

So please guys after some 98 premium combos

Looking towards gt4294r to deliver the power and good street response

There are good reasons for jumping on that bandwagon, petrol is crap.

Good luck...

420rwkw on E85, 25psi, in a 1400 kilo car that ran 137mph with a GReddy T78. Used to have very very usable power by 4000rpm

Now making 485rwkw on E85 at 25psi with a Precision 6766 and 1.0 rear. Will tell you Sunday what it runs ;)

Seriously forget the 42 and look into a Precision, Much smaller, much better response and still massive power considering the size of them. They are tiny in comparison.

The 42 is a good turbo, it will run well over 550kw, as should your Precision...

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
