So I don't know a lot about cars and what things are but i'm installing a FMIC on my R32 GTS-T and there are these discs with a screw in the middle near the latch in front of the radiator. Are these horns for the car? I need to remove them in order to get this on it seems and I just want to know what they are first.

Sorry for the dumb question, like I said my car knowledge isn't a lot.

Wow.

Fair enough you don't know but how hard would it be to find out?

Disconnect and beep horn and see what happens?

The car won't explode.

Don't have to resort to the Internet as first point to solving a problem!

Or alternatively if you really want to Google something, search for what a horn looks like.

lol I did that before posting this. Not disconnecting them idk why I didn't think to do that but googling.

Oh wait, that's what he's trying to do.

Yes they are horns. We only put one back in, and disconnected & removed the other one. We found somewhere nearby to bolt it to - a bit higher up the centre bar than it was before I think, and facing backwards. Just check that it's loud enough, and if not make sure your finger works (horn not working, watch for finger....)

    • Glad to hear. If possible, get your tuner to check air's to make sure everything is still where it should be.
    • The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.
    • Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum. Hope you enjoy hanging around. We would love to have you.   P.s. nice 32 馃榾
