_GTR_
Hi Everyone Just wondering the correct way to do a compression test on a rb26 engine. Can I just pull the fuel pump fuse out of the car before I start the test, or do you need to start the car then pull the fuse and let the car died out and then start the test? Also for a wet compression test how much oil do you put in the cylinder? Do you remove all the spark plugs or just remove the one from the cylinder your testing and leave the rest in? XKLABA
Unplug CAS, that will disable coils and injectors Remove all plugs and test with throttle wide open a cap full will be heaps just make sure you get the same amount every time Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/446637-rb26-compression-test-questions/#findComment-7362059 Share on other sites

iruvyouskyrine
I have always been told to do it with the throttle open too, not sure if it makes any difference or not. I assume it just makes it easier for the engine to get air to compress. _GTR_
That test was done cold. I didn't worry about doing a wet test as the compression came back good. iruvyouskyrine
What's an average amount less for cold results? I know it's hard to say, but just an average amount.
