Thanks guys. Yeah just a bit dodgy buy got me through 10,000ks no trouble but time to change. Right angle ones dont work? Do I just need one that goes straigh down? Im going to run a few strong rare earth magnets internally to clean up the crap, the filter sock had metal fillings around it!

Im using a 90 degree filter in my 33. Works just fine even to the end of the tank.

really? perhaps the holder puts it off on the right direction...mine was a deatschwerks and the holder made the filter sit the wrong way.

Why would the filter sticking out of the fuel cause an issue, as long as the pump pickup is in the fuel you should be fine. The direction the sock sits should have minimal impact, but of course sitting flat on the bottom of the tank or just above would be best.

45 degree socks are cheap enough for this not to be a problem anyway.

Nope, the gears inside are like oil pump internals, once something hard and incompressible goes through it wear will occur, then you may as well chuck it away.

It's only $100 for a genuine new one... If you buy from the right place of course. ;)

Ok cool, I ran a few litres through a bucket, it pumps fine and sounds like it did when I put it in, the high buzzing sound, but when its hooked up, its a low drone buzz sound when priming and afrs are way too lean everywhere. If it was stuffed it wouldn't pump fine out of car then go to shit in it? Ive changed fuel filter made no difference

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
