Hey guys, I Was looking at the nengun website

http://www.nengun.com/blitz/se-intercooler-kit

I found the blitz intercooler, now I have been told a lot about how the chassis is the same with R34 and all of that. They have the R34 GTT intercooler kit listed for $300 something dollars and the WGNC34 kit for $600...

Whats the difference... surely its the same engine and all bolts up properly? I mean well, could I pay $300 for the R34 GTT intercooler kit and it fits onto my Stagea? It's a 1998 Stagea with the NEO RB25DET engine, and the stock side mount.

Thanks,

There are lots of options out there now, no need to order all the way from Japan just for a brand name...

R34 GTt **should** fit, but might need a few modifications here and there, but then again you might buy a Stagea-specific one and have the same problems. It will all depend on the quality of the item and what other bits and bobs you already have on your car where the intercooler is meant to go.

i have an r34 GTT cooler on my c34, only thing i had to do was cut a hole below the battery tray for the pipe to pass through, i also made a different support bracket on the top of the engine so i could retain the (trimmed down) neo engine cover.

thanks, Ben.

The issue with this (in NSW at least) is that a hole cut under the battery tray will generally not pass for rego; it needs to be engineered.

This usually involves plating the area around the hole; which most people either can't, or won't do.

There are "No cut" options; and that is certainly what I would recommend.
