Hey guys names Joey I live in Caboolture and this is the build for my r32 gtst, I was originally building the motor to put in my rodeo ute but later decided that a motor with all the parts I had chose to use deserved to be in a better car so I was on the hunt for an R32. After searching for a couple of months I found this (which my little brother loved).post-132812-14209711519319_thumb.jpgpost-132812-14209711631474_thumb.jpg

After a couple months of collecting parts I went to pick up my Tein super streets from Mercury Motorsports and saw this post-132812-14209711858823_thumb.jpgpost-132812-14209711957662_thumb.jpg

And after about 30 minutes of talking about it with my little brother he decided he was going to buy the black one off me and I would buy the yellow one so It got put at a tow truckpost-132812-1420971261881_thumb.jpg

Ok so after a couple of days owning It I pulled the old coilovers out and put the Teins in

Next I started pulling the existing engine and gearbox out which only took about 3 hours to Pull it all outpost-132812-142106466379_thumb.jpg

Now the engine was ready to be sent off to be machined so that everything was and good and better got a couple of pictures while the machining was being done, the block was bored, honed and acid bathed an the crank was balanced and a crank collar was fitted. The original crank that came with the block turned out to be bent but I luckily found one quickly and it pretty cheap.

The machinist cleaned up the ports, put in new valve springs new retainers skimmed the head a little and cleaned out the lifters.

As you can see I have went with the plazmaman plenum, throttlebody and the black plazmaman fuel rail. Exhaust manifold is a t3 single entry 6boost and the turbo is a GTX3582r with a .82 rear housing

So done a bit of work on the car over the weekend, we mocked up the surge tank and my external fuel pump only took a photo of the car on the hoist though, but will post some pics of where the pump and tank are sitting as we aren't putting it in the boot.

I have decided to use the siemens 2433cc injectors so I don't have to upgrade.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
