Hello

Selling my R33 GT-R, iv had it going on 4 years now, it has developed (Rod Knock), everything else is good, interior and exterior is in great condition

Currently has:

Power FC

BBS LM Rims - Gold

Tein super street suspension

Just Jap cam gears

Electronic boost controller

Splitfire coils

Apexi exhaust system

Brand new tyres that haven't even even seen 1000k's - Yokohama 265 / 35R18 93W AD08-R

Everything else is stock

Also have the stock exhaust system and stock ECU

Asking for 17.5k with NO RWC, and the Rego is paid up until sometime in July, I have to double check.

All inspections welcome except test drives have to be kept to a minimum.

And factor in resizing the rods if reusing them, new bearings, crank regrind if its not twisted, and very likely a cracked oil pump if the pistons and bores are still OK.

While there you may as well rebuild the bottom end and clean out everything the oil runs through including the turbo lines.

It may be more logical to simply forge the bottom end or just put a known working engine in.

It will be a engine out and back in job and as XKLABA said, very common on GTR's, dont let it turn you off the car, simply factor in the costs of the repair against whats it worth to you.

This is remarkably similar to the GTR I just bought - 96 black with bbs LMs and bottom end knock lol

    • Remember kids - if you can't afford to buy 2 GTRs......
    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
