So... My V36 Skyline is soon to arrive to Australia, and I'm looking to change from the 20" aftermarket wheels currently on the car to a nice set of Matte Black wheels preferably available from Ozzy Tyres (online) and from the manufacturer XXR.

I'm looking for the best 'bang for value' \ value orientated set of wheels that look good, are relatively wide (and more flush, than tucked in appearance) and of course are legal - so I believe 18 x 8.75" on the fronts / rears are the way to go... unless someone suggests it's worth it to spend the extra $300 for the staggered rears setup (I believe they're 9.75" on the rears) :)

PS: Will 18's look too small on my V36 Skyline compared to 20's at the moment? Also, I won't be lowering the vehicle... Does anyone own a V36 Skyline *SEDAN* and have either of these wheels fitted?

Unless you can recommend another online (or local store in Adelaide) Ozzy Tyres seems to have the best range and value options with free shipping and guaranteed fitment.

What are your thoughts on the following wheels?

They're to go onto the following vehicle...

Cheap looking wheels look like a cheap suit , doesn't really matter which XXR rim you buy , you can't hide it .

Just buy some stockies again

I have avant garde m310 which are very similar to the 530 you have listed went with 20s in the staggered option got 8.5" +30 in the front and 10" +40 in the rear painted in dolphin grey from ozzy tyres, tyre wise 245/35 fr and 275/30 rear. Go staggered the extra width allows a much better launch, reducing wheel spin considerably....

if I had my time again would go a less aggressive offset in the rear maybe +45 and get a 285/30 tyre in there which would have almost identical rolling diameters front to back and slightly more sidewall.

As for ozzy tyres, good luck. First set they sent me was drilled in the wrong stud pattern second, second set the painter hadn't applied a primer and now the paints flaking... Just waiting for a time where I can get them powder coated.

Will the Forged Ray's 19" Wheels from a V35 be a straight bolt-on without needing spacers?

How will the offset look? Tucked in or near flush?

I have those on my friends V36 coupe at the moment which has same offsets as a sedan. They sit near flush compared to the OEM wheels these cars come with.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
