Thanks.

I half expected it to fall. I needed 3 arms so something had to balance but it slipped and got me.

Nearly done, fire is installed but need to fit the last length of flue and seal up the gland on the roof
Would assume it's 0.7 s/s crimped and swaged. I put a 1/2 inch thick flange in the roof split it down the centre and mounted it off the rafters so the top section of the flue had a mounting base to support the weight off the gyprock then a lead flashing on the roof under the tiles externally and 1/2" needle felt glass to insulate the heat from the gyprock under the flange inside. What you've done sounds great with the ventilation around the base and sides. Animal d.i.y. Show us your massive manifold and n/a exhaust.

Well im home.....

Ran a 14.4@161kmh. Car just lays over at the top end so people just drive round me. I get out the hole fast but they run me down. Damn stock ecu and turbo lol.

Staging lanes were rammed and people cueing out the lane gates, and didnt reli wanna wait a hour to get another run

At least you can lauch it! I was crap out the holeshot and had to run everyone down. There were bugger all cars there last week on skyline night so got 5 runs in. Would be a worry to cane it with a fully cold drive train. Xy gtho, charger 6 pack and monaros all ran 14.4 stock from the factory. Pretty good at under half the litres. Show us your Nissan! Well done mate!

If you check out the rear muffler you want on the magnaflow website I can get you a price on the part number. From super cat converters in Wangara. Will have all the dimensions there. Easiest way would be to measure what you have find one that's similar and has a I/d inlet on it slot it and use a accuseal clamp. You would only have to relocate the rear hanger bracket then?

i'll take a look, but I really don't know shit about my exhaust.

i watched WM on youtube. there is 26 x 22minute episodes plus there is a movie

i enjoyed the series more than i expected. initial D was better but its still very good. the movie isnt bad from memory either

Started watching the Wangan. Ghost-z lol. Way better than foxtel or tele though!

Cheers, i woulda went last week bit football is my only real form of exercise lol getting it going was easy, 2.0 to the 60ft. Its not slow by any means, jist that top end lay over.

The things i'd do for a 240z....

My mate Daniel had one about 20 yrs ago was a sweet ride 2.4 bored to 2.6 with side drafts. Black and original. He swapped it for a cbr and a few grand cash. He wishes he had a time machiene!
Is hank away or something?
Also, any brake rotors and pads recommendation? Looking at DBA T3 slotted for fronts and T2 slotted for rears or Dixcel SD/HS (but HS is so expensive).
Pads Project Mu Bspec to go with Dixcel or Red Stuff to go with DBAs
Thoughts?

I got
Alcon advantage extreme big brake kit front/rear
6 piston monobloc calipers 365x32mm 2 piece rotors
4 piston monobloc calipers 350x32mm 2 piece rotors paired Alcon Brake pads

makes 180 back to 60kmh faster than what u get up to with max boost.
Puts a smile on everyone when thay back to normal in a flash literary i reckon 2sec
Washed the car too not much dust but whatever was there easy to clean .

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
    • I couldn't agree more. I should have started from the get-go with a NEO or solid bucket conversion. I started looking into converting over to solid lifters yesterday.
