Mostly bonnet and right B pillar then there’s other imperfections in other panels, am I asking for too much here?

When mine was painted I couldn’t find any imperfections

Something is very wrong with yours

I'd be taking it back to the painter,  you payed good money to have the car painted properly. Maybe take the car to other paint shops and ask their opinion on what the cause would be (in their experience) before you go back, so that you have an understanding.
I wouldn't accept anything but perfection, if that's what you were paying for.

Including the insurance payment we would have spent $13,500 on the paint and repairs

Yeh but not sure if it’s from when running which I think is unlikely or once shut down

I only started testing the oil after building the engine and it’s always had dilution.

Must be an injector then, sticking on shut down. Do u get alot of popping and banging on over run?

as unbelievable as it may sound....

i might drive the skyline this week... [emoji4] i cant even remember which month it last moved but the dust suggests 4 months or so
Perfect dimensional outline on the floor:-)

Here is our paint issue it’s hard to see but it looks like it was sanded with 80 grit before spraying

Yeah I reckon youre pretty right on that Martin. I used to make polished aluminium bull bars. 24grit to take off the top of the weld. Blend the corners with 120 on 7 1/4" sander. Then to 180 and 360 with orbitals before double polishing. One slip with the heavy grit or a dig (sander not flat) and it was all over. Deep looking swirl mark scratch. If you tried to polished them out with the hard buff wheel it would scallop out the Ali and you'd have a pocket that showed up like dog balls in the sun.

I asked Larry Kosilla what he thinks it is and this is what he said

"Hey bud

It looks like the wetsanding was not done properly :(

Or the paint could have stretched when painting...who knows. But it needs to be fixed by the painter. Yikes!"

Both of my brothers worked at a paint shop and have both said stretching but where there are cross hashes they reckon poor sanding, who knows?? Phil’s seen it and agrees it needs attention probably December or in the new year tbh

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
