Yes i do. Lol. But i also have lots of cars. This is for my gts4 that i just brought back from the dead. Im running small 550 injectors and using a power fc. I know to make about 500hp using no dyno, but on my other gtrs im aiming for way more than 500hp. But on this car (gts4) i just was wondering if i need to use z32 afm for 22 psi. Thats my goal. Ive done 25 psi on rb25 wit z32 afm and the motor still going to this day. Just need to know if the twin stock r32 afm will handle 22 psi.

Max psi? 10000000000

Air FLOW meters measure flow not pressure. They can read 'x' amount of flow. Need to know what turbos are being used

This is why AFM's are usually talked about in terms of how much power they will handle as air flow is pretty much directly proportional to power. The more air you get in the engine, the more power you can achieve etc etc

The motor is freshly built. All stock other than oil mods and acl race bearings, mls head gasket. I did it all with spare parts around the yard. Doesnt mean i just want to just blow it up. Lol. I will tho. Kml. Im sure ill figure it all out tho mate. Worst case is ill just run twin z32. But was wondering as i have like 12 oem afm for gtr's. Oh internal parts are all new. Not old. :D

Rule of thumb for Air Flow meters RWKW (you will note a single RB25 AFM will measure more than a single GTR AFM)

AFM Max Power at 5v Single RB25 AFM 225rwkw

Single Z32 AFM 350rwkw

Single Q45 AFM 300rwkw

Twin RB26 AFMs 300rwkw

Twin RB25 AFMs 450rwkw

Twin Z32 AFMs 511rwkw

Twin Q45 AFMs 600rwkw

Thanks for that mate. These are in rwkw. Simple conversation. Looks like twin r32 afm will max out but could work, but at there limit. Hmmm. Funny to see that a singal z32 is at 350 figure twin would be at 700 but its at 511 in twin set up. And twin q45 is at 600. Is this wright????

twin rb25 is great for resolution.

twin z32 are generally over kill (unless needed) and in many setups you end up using only 1/2 to 3/4 of the scale and lose tune resolution.

i would much rather the AFM scale be @ 90% max than at 50% max

I started to look at the flow charts for the holset and a gtx35r. Looks like there will be about 15 to 20 LB/Minute difference from about 22 psi.

Im trying to compare it to my r33 gtr thats running twin z32 afm with gtx3582r turbo.

Damn i wish i had a better turbo laying around. :(

Yeah there is actually.

Series one is a 4 pin while series 2 is a 3 pin pink label.

I think Nistune has it listed for an extra 20 HP or so

So the R33GTST S2 has the pink label, and the S1 has the green label, which is also used by the RB20DET and RB25De, just for clarity.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
