Have been looking for a consult 3 diagnosis at the Nissan dealer around my place and they don't have one, but still offered to come and try their tool...

Instead of wasting time with them, I'd rather drive to meet someone from here that has one.

We could probably have a list of everyone owning one here to save time for anyone else looking and make a few $ for the owners.

I'm personally looking around Sydney but if you have one, tell your State and diag tool so I can make a list.

Nissan service department didn't have a Consult 3? I don't believe that for a second. Some other readers will work for engine diagnosis, not many will talk to all 8 ecu's.

I have one in Hampton Park, SE Melbourne, Victoria. :)

Consult is an old plug interface, for older model cars. The M35 uses an obd2 plug but is not obd2 compliant, so you need the Consult 3 hardware Nissan use to read it properly.

It's a garage that sells a bunch of car makes including Nissan and the guy I had on the phone told me they use a different brand of diagnostic tool and isn't sure they will be able to talk to the car (after I said it was a stagea..)

At $156/hour, I'm not too keen to go find out :D

BTW most generic scan tools at your average workshop should still work I think, the local place was certainly able to read my non-OBD2 Cima the other day

That would be super cool, even for $155.99, rather give that to someone that has the right tools :)

Seriously though, had a transmission light turning on and since it's the TCU I want to read, would probably have more luck with a consult 3.

does your consult3 could communicate with HICAS computer?

      Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

      So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel

      When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
