Hello, first post here. I have recently purchased a C34 series 2 RB25DET NEO. It has about 90000k on it and has recently started to take a few more cranks then normal to start when warm. The wife rang the other day to tell me it would not start for her at all after a short drive. She went back to the car the following afternoon and it started first crank. She got the car back home and a few days later went to start it and no go. The engine is cranking but nothing else. The engine is totally stock and has a good service history. It is coming up for its 100k service so i have ordered the timing belt kit with water pump etc... also order some new yellow jacket coil packs and plugs. Was thinking the cooling temp sensor was starting to play up and that was why it was taking more cranks then normal to start when hot, but now wont go at all. Is there anything else that can be a common issue with these engines? as i work away it makes it impossible to diagnose been 5000km from home.

Thanks

I am pretty confident the km are correct. The car is 15 years old.It did 70000 in Japan, and got imported here by the owner in 2011. I bought it off the second owner who got it complied and then hardly drove it as he didn't want too run the km up. Don't remember the sellers name but he lived south west of Brisbane. You are correct that belt is coming out very soon.It could do with a new battery as Ben said. It is a Panasonic with Japanese writing all over it.
